Using Ableton MIDI to control KK

I cannot get Ableton to control the KK through MIDI. I have my global g23-28 enabled and I'm using USB to communicate with the computer. I have selected a MIDI track in Ableton and selected the output to KingKorg and Ch.1
When the MIDI in Ableton is played, it shows that sound is being made but I'm hearing nothing and appears the KK is receiving nothing.
The KK audio output work when the KK is just played as an instrument and I'm able to record audio tracks.
Any suggestions as to how to enable the KK to receive MIDI from Ableton?
