Korg D1200 CD-R/RW Drive Model No. UJDA340 How to Install???

Dear other members,
I hope someone is able to help me. I have a Korg D1200 with a CD Burner
in it that doesn't function anymore. So I thought it would be a good idea
to replace it with another one that has the same model number.
It all fits but when I start my D1200 the screen says: Illegal CD burner.
Is there a kind of inbuilt safety in the Korg D1200 that causes this message?
The original burner has a dark grey plastic sticker on its bottom. Could that
hold a kind of safety code for my D1200.
I hope someone is able to help me as it is very hard to get these older
CD writers and prices sometimes are more than buying a second hand unit
with its' burner still working!
Thanks a lot for taking notice,
