Gargoyle's Remix
G# minor
150bpm
https://soundcloud.com/contact_artist/u ... -gargoyles
This is an unlisted, unfinished piece. Originally started out as a remix for a friend but quickly lost steam when I couldn't get the first drop right. The talking bass is made from a vocal sample that goes "get your hands up". Simply took that sample and threw it into a granular synth. The separate growl bass is made from a dog bark thrown into Skanner, a "wavescanning" synthesizer. I learned quite a bit about making a sub bass with this and how important it is to use a synth that allows you to set the starting phase of the sub at key-on. I'd first tried making the sub with Retrologue which has free-running oscillators and it sounded terrible since the sub would sometimes click and have really inconsistent volume.
For any other info about the other sounds just ask!
