Bug fixes in OS 1.2.1
Bug fixes in OS 1.2.1 PDF manual wrote:Keyboard Sounds
When the Upper Volume Link parameter was selected, the proportional
volume change of the Upper Sounds didn’t always behave correctly.
Style Play
Fill Mode settings where not saved in the Style Settings and SongBook
Entries.
When the Fill Mode Lock was selected, depending on the status of other
Locks the system could freeze when choosing a Style.
Song Play
After having selected a Song by entering its ID number, the Select button
in the Song Select window could no longer be accessed, and no Song
could be selected.
SongBook
Depending on the selected Columns preferences, some information
where not shown correctly, or some parameters could blink.
Sampling
When loading samples that had been compressed in Pa3X, then decompressed
in Pa4X v1.1.3, the samples could play wrongly under Pa4X v1.2.0
if loaded under some circumstances (loading separate Sounds, or only
the SOUND folder). Please note that samples saved again with Pa4X
v1.1.3 or v1.2.0 were not damaged, and could play correctly after recompressing
them; no data could be lost.
Effects for Sounds
When choosing a Style with an Acc track type set to Drum, the Send 2 FX
level could appear as set to zero, but a Delay effect could still be heard.
MIDI
After booting, the Clock Send parameter could appear selected, but no
clock message was actually sent.

Has anybony noticed the difference between last systems in terms of size (I mean 1.2.0 os and 1.2.1 os)? 99,3 MB vs 116,5 MB after decompression.

What are you getting at here?
I would expect the OS sizes to be different.

110 - 103,944,028 bytes
111 - 104,107,300 bytes
113 - 104,106,944 bytes
120 - 104,148,884 bytes
121 - 122,246,624 bytes

Hello Danny a great job and arranged most of the failures that occurred in the last 1.20 operating system !For now I see that it has not yet been arranged OUT1 and OUT2 so you can send the case to go to the drum OUT1+2 and to send only the Kick OUT1 and OUT2 on everything else?Again, the same problem occurs and that is to come out in this case all the components and the drum Out1 and OUT2?For now I only found that it does not work and the other large faults I see that they are mostly sredjeni :) Today I have a little play on the keyboard while reporting if you encounter some other problem!Big hello :)

SongBook bug

SongBook bug is not solved: if you want change style to a song numbered song entry you must delete the old song before save new one. If you use same name song number disappared and you cannot assign to any song, you must use SongBook Editor on PC.
I miss Pa3X SongBook interface.

This is obvious, but new OS eliminates only bugs. I suppose that Korg do some additional job in advance for future update needs. I think about improvements.

Sorry - I still do not understand your concern.
Is it about the small change in size - bug fixing can require changes of variable sizes.

Cheers

Pete :D

For anyone that is interested on this , the extra 18 Mb size is exclusively for pkg container files encryption !

That's pity.
There was a hope for better graphics. Antony what are the advantages from pkg files?

Hello!

The encryption is a safety measure to protect the keyboard from hackers, nothing to do with what users see and it should have happened long ago...

Now about the graphics, i have explained why it most probably will never happen on the existing arrangers in an older post but
The os needs complete rewrite to do better graphics or a lot of money(+ working hours to reimplement) to update the license of the UI creator (don't want to say the program's name in public for obvious reasons) for a new product of that scale. This means that new graphics will rise the value of any arranger that will have a new UI by several dollars which i believe not even one user wants...
In my opinion the interface is just fine..It is a keyboard not a smartphone where you can watch movies to..!

PKG file is just a container of Musical & Sofware factory resources meant to be used only by manufacturer
company to distribute their resources & updates , end-users can only use the similar BKP file , that mostly
containing their custom resources plus factory directory changes but without any software or factory sound
resources unauthorized for users !

This looks like a good update?
No much feedback since it was released.

Can we get more feedback before i buy it for the 3rd time? :)
