Please don''t argue too much between eachother ... it will not make the editor come sooner.

Nobody knows when it is here, probably not even Korg USA.
And maybe not even Korg Japan.

It would be great time to present the edditor at the Musik Messe... it certainly would stop the bickering.

MartinHines wrote:I contacted Korg U.S.A. Product Support via email regarding status of the KRONOS editor.

The response I received (Feb 23rd) was:
Thank you for your inquiry regarding the KRONOS. Korg is still working very hard on the Editor and we hope to have it available for download within the next two months.
While disappointed, I will be marking my calendar for the end of April, which would fulfill the "within the next two months" estimate.

On the positive side, I was glad that Korg responded with an actual time frame. Now I can stop checking the Korg website each week.

Since the editor has taken so long, I am hoping for a special "make a hit record" button within the editor. :)
Would that mean that the design team would be eligible for a performance Grammy? :P

I'd rather have a ".wav -> combi" button. Import a .wav file, and this button will generate a combi with all the programs needed to recreate all the sounds used in the .wav file. 8)

Soon, there´s "Musikmesse" in Frankfurt... 21.03. - 24.03.2012...

Let´s see, if the editor will be there then ?! - I don´t believe, but personally, I don´t care anymore, since I got round about 750 Euro on the original Kronos price back, due to missing editor...

Turns out we've had an editor the whole time, it's right there on the Kronos display, the font is just so small I could not see it,

need glasses now.

Seems to me most of us need librarians and other memory management tools, not an editor. And sorry Mr. PCG Tools, you just can't cut it until you release your stuff for MacOS. :D

My app is not an editor .. actually I'm trying to avoid implementing items that will be in the editor since that's Korg's job.

There is also a (limited but working) Web version of PCG Tools which works on any computer (thus Mac included).

Btw, I don't really have something against Mac Users, it is just that I am much more familiar with PCs and since I don't have a Mac it is not even possible for me to develop for that. Also since it is a learning project for learning C# and the Mac version of C# is quite behind.

Kind regards,

Mr. PCG Tools

Mr. PCG Tools
Sorry Michel, but limited to say the least. Not worth the bother.
I can move programs around Setlist faster than up and downloading.
To bad, I'm sure all of your work is helping the PC network and is turning into a good app for pc users, but a one sided platform leaves me uninterested.
I meant that constructively, don't take it as a flame..

No I am fully aware of the platform limitation. I hope Mathieu Meas will also continue his development and add all functionality into the web based version. I'm currently busy dividing the logic and the UI to make such conversion a bit easier.

I also had some people wanted to see my code for a possible Mac conversion but I did not hear much of that, sadly enough.

Dear michelkeijers,

Your work is excellent and thank you for your efforts.

My post was refering to the needed librarian not the editor and I think you program PCGTools is basically the ticket.

I look forward to using on my Mac someday, and hopeful you getting some well earned money.

Thanks for the nice words. I got in total 130 euro (something like $160) in total by gifts so thank you for all.

I also hope the app will make a lot of people happy (including myself although I'm not that much into recording), but the editor itself is also valuable of course.

If somebody is interested in making a conversion I will try to help as much as I can (meaning in making my app suitable for the conversion as far as reasonable).

I was one of the first people on here requesting a Mac version of PCG Tools, actually - so you're not alone in wanting it!

One possibility you might consider though is running it under Windows inside a virtual environment on OS X?

If you don't own or want to pay for a copy of the VNWare Fusion or Parallels desktop software for the purpose, there's a free emulator called Virtualbox you could try too.

https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

You'd still need to get ahold of a Windows XP, Vista or 7 installation disc, but at least this makes it free to make it run inside of OS X.

Yes I know you were (are). Running VMware Fusion was also the alternative I have written on my thread. However, I thought it was free.

However, lots of Mac users don''t like to use PC software. I will add your alternative also to my thread. Thanks for posting!
