Great Sounds ! , makes it even harder waiting for pre-ordered Kronos 88 2 to arrive ;-) ... using Fantom G and X these days. Some learning curve ahead.

Just installed a 750gb SSD as a second drive. No issues. Space will no longer be an issue for a while. Decided to use the other SSD I bought for another computer.

I have downloaded and installed EXs 17 & 18 demos (download took all night). I have 3 questions:

1) These demos only gives a few programs for each - correct?

2) After purchasing them, would the rest of the programs/combis would show up or have to re-install or just activate them? (sorry, my first time purchasing from Kronos sounds from Korg)

3) Do the KRS07 256 Programs, 32 Combinations suppose to install with the EXs17 & 18? Or, do you not get them until after the purchase?

thanks in advance,
Andreuz

The demo has all programs. The only difference are the silence breaks.
You get access to KRS07 only after buying the EXs libraries.

Yes, unfortunately there are not a lot of programs included. There's quite a bit of source material between the multi-samples and wave sequences, and I think they made some good choices, but it's a small sampling of programs. If you include the orchestral stuff from EXs19, the strings are very strong IMO.

There's a real opportunity for someone to use this new material and come up with some new programs.

Busch.

If I were to buy the Kronos Sound Pack , I would want to put the Berlin Grand in my 88 key Kronos, but the synths in my 61 key Kronos.

Is that possible? Does the licensing system have a different authorization code for each of the EXs libraries?

And does the KRS07 have an authorization code that would restrict it to one machine, or could it be put on two Kronos, as can be done with the KRS-06?

Thanks for any advice!!

New member here, first post although I've been reading this forum for years and it's truly a great source of information on all things Korg (my Korg experience goes all the way back to the Mono/Poly, Poly6, DW8000, etc).

My question: I took a chance and paid my money for this KRS-07 SoundPack 3.0. After getting (slowly) through the payment process, I expected to see a link to a download. The only links I see are the two demo links (EXs-17 & 18).

When these finish downloading (sometime tomorrow at the rate it's going), am I getting everything in the KRS-07 package? Or is there something I missed?

The site was performing so poorly, I'm not sure if there's another link to the entire package and it simply failed to load the page.

So if someone could clarify: Is there something besides the EXs17/18 demo downloads needed to complete the KRS-07 Sound Pack?

About the site & download performance: yeah, add me to the list of frustrated Korg customers. Pathetic in this day & age, and it's not just now with the heavy demand - everything I've ever downloaded from this site has averaged 40-60kbps (and I have a 1gig Internet connection), so this is not new. I'm not ranting, just complaining a bit. I'm obviously a Korg fan and very much appreciate how they've allowed us original Kronos owners to keep up with new developments for a fraction of the hardware cost. This however is testing my patience. Well, they say delayed gratification is supposed to be good for the soul . . . :^)

Nothing I can do about it now but wait. And wait, and wait . . .

Hi, Bought the Sound Pack, clicked on download, nothing happened although in My Korg it had the authorization codes, lost the down load page and can't get back to it, nothing seems to be happening. Has any else had this experience?

The Korg shop website isn't tailored to the huge load it is experiencing right now. You either have to wait for the storm to calm down or Korg has to improve their services.

Hi Fuse, thanks for replying. I re read some of the other comments and I think it's because I have to download the demo EX17. It is showing in my profile with an authorization code against it so I've clicked on that and my download info tells me I have a day left for it to complete the download. I would have thought if the item was paid for that you could just download the authorized file.

The demo contains all the samples. You need to download those and install on your Kronos. The authorization code then unlocks it.

The server will be less busy over the course of next week is my guess.

Ok thanks for this info.

I too really like the tone & response of the new Berlin piano (demo)... but have not yet purchased the package just yet. I am planning on it... maybe next week. It sounds like maybe you already have made the package purchase. Can you give us any overall feedback on the KRS07: 256 Programs & 32 Combinations (particularly the programs)?

thanks,
Andreuz
