I believe SST is only guaranteed to work when switching from a program to another program, or a program to a combi.

On Korg's website it does not mention SST working when changing from a combi to another combi?

'When you switch program sounds during a performance to get ready for the next section, or when you switch from Program mode to Combi mode, the sound that's currently being output is always given priority and its effects are maintained during the program change, ensuring a seamless transition with no dropouts.'

Strange it also says

'Smooth sound transitions that eliminate dropouts when changing sounds, regardless of the mode you're in'
SST works with combis too.

Hi guys,

Really sorry to revive an old thread, but I was wondering if these SST and midi issues that some users had after upgrading to OS 3.0.2 were resolved.

I finally will have the time to do the OS upgrade in the next couple of weeks, but I rely heavily on instantly changing Combis on Set List mode for my main gig. So I am worried about this issue.

Thanks a lot,

T.

In touch with Korg

I am in contact with one of the techies in the UK whom I spoke at length to about this back in december when I discovered the problems for myself (and posted my findings extensively here!). I had an email from him a couple of weeks ago saying that Korg are on to it and they will release a rectifying update hopefully soon! I'm sure they will: after all they need to to support the recent release of the K2 !

Hi all,

How difficult is to revert to OS 2.1 after installing OS 3.0.2 on the Kronos?

How would the process look like?

I just want to make sure there is a straightforward way out in case I have some of the issues discussed in this thread (latency changing big combis, RAM related slowdowns, bugs, etc.)

Thanks a lot for all your help!

By the way, Chini, did you ever hear back from Korg about new updates?

Thanks Anthony. I went and check your post.

I am actually not planning to do any work on OS 3.0.2 until I am sure that all my Combis work flawlessly.

What I actually need to know is if I can simply re-install OS 2.1 on top of 3.0.2 if it is necessary.

Thanks!

Follow next steps :
- Load factory PCG that your Kronos was shipped with (I suppose you do not own Kronos 2)
- Just load previous OS following the well known steps ...
- When Kronos boot do not navigate but Load your PCG file that was saved with previous OS !
- Done !!!
