Everything went as smooth as silk. The preset effects are very cool. It is a welcome addition to the effects section to have these pre-set and id'd.

Thanks for the upgrade and the new presets. They are welcome additions. Were happy here :D :D :D

Let's hope that where 2008 was the year for M3 upgrades, 2009 is the year for the Oasys upgrades! :)

Thanks KORG!

Is this an EXf's upgrade or is this something different? Sorry for my ignorance.

Well, it's not an EXf upgrade in the sense that they've added new fx algorithms. Rather, they've given us a big amount of presets for the already existing ones.

Hi dxmusic,

I just tried scrolling through my INT-D , Combi Bank with no problems but I also have nothing but Intialized combis in this bank.

So what do you do when it locks up? Have you turned the Oasys off and back on to see if it locks up again when you go to this bank? Did you have something special loaded in this particular bank prior to the upgrade?

Regards,
Rick

Hi rtucker55,

I had some combis that I put together, with some karma seq. all from internal stuff. It just locks up when moving thru INT-D Bank, then no button or touch screen operation.

Dan
P.S. I've tried reloading upgrade SW, turned on and off many times. I've even tried writing over the whole bank and it still locks up.

HI

Sorry if I am very slow here.

I have just installed 1.3.3, and go into the IFX page, and select the preset list. All presets appear to be empty.

Have I missed something here?

ALso Dan mentioned the effects presets are within the documentation. Again, I can't see them anywhere, just a load of instructions on how to install the upgrade. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi dxmusic

I'm affraid this is beyond my knowledge, hopefully someone else will chime in and help. You have my sympathy though... :(

Hi lcmorley,

There are 2 files you need to bring down. One is the 1.3.3 update and the other is the Fx presets. Sounds like you only got the 1.3.3. update file.

If you go back to Korguser.net and download the FX file (I believe it was right below the OS update) it will have everything in the .zip file.

You need to download and load the effects presets separately from the 1.3.3 OS update.

Go here :

https://www.korguser.net/oasys/download/

... and look for the link entitled "Effect Presets Data and Guide". Download the zip file and you'll find both the .PFX file that you need to load into the Oasys (in Disk Mode) and also support notes in a PDF file.

HTH,

Daz.

Just a quick thanks to Dan, Brandon, Stephen, Jerry and Korg in general. A free download with big fixes, a bank of MOD-7 programs a myriad of Effects presets is extremely generous and very, very welcome - thanks so much. I'm more guilty than most for griping during NAMM - but you really deserve thanks for the programs and presets in particular - there was no obligation for you to offer these and you really have reaffirmed your commitment to your community with these. We should never have doubted you.

I'm really looking forward to trying these out. You definitely made my day (and month).

Cheers!
Kevin.
