OS 2.0 Released!

A.K.
I don't know what instructions you are looking at?
No formatting involved.
It's a 2 step process to load OS2
Download the OS file and the MR file for PA800 (NOT PA2XPRO) from the KorgPA website
Unzip both zip folders taking just the defaults. Now you have 2 folders 1 for OS2, 1 for OS2 MR.
In the one for OS2 you will find a .PDF file called 'PA800 Loading of OS2 and Musical Resources.PDF'
Print that out and follow the directions exactly to: Install OS2 from a .PKG file and then immediately after that (do nothing else) install the musical resources from a .BKP file
Works perectly...
Thanks,
Lee

Hi Nedim,
$900 - Is that all?
Seems like you can fix the problem yourself if you edit all your 64 user DK's and change the references so they find the new location for the samples
This has always happened with every OS release for the Pa800 and Pa2x. It appears that users' data and third party styles and sounds are a big inconvenience that have to be be made incompatible at every conceivable opportunity.
Conversion utility? That would be an interesting idea wouldn't it? Well it's the same requirement as I've been asking about for the last year with no success.

No need for anything, its not months anymore, its only days or weeks, till...
Audy Q4 gets here...4 stands for 4GB RAM. People like me get ignored even
though they started Confirming in here about the Bug i Bugged about.
Korg forgets one thing, this Forum is not even 10% of its users nor its market,
the Forums and comunity i come from its already in the tens of confirmations.
And thats where the market is, this is only a SMALL part of KORG and the things
i do in here, there is an Unknown internet KORG world that 99% of users here
dont know about and its huge...25 times this forum.

User drums
Hi Nedim. I use user drums kits with my own samples and multislices on pads. No problems at all with the 2.0 upgrade, All styles playing fine. I'm a very satisfied korg user now. They attended my requests about the perfomance transpose lock and the lyrics on the fly.... They just missed the notes interval that yamaha have on sa2 technology. That would give a more realistc sound. But... they could improve it later.

Lee you cant, its another 3 forums, in 2 more different languages.
Is a way greater number of Korg users then on here and it is very
demanding users, 90% dont use even 5% of factory resources.
For them everything is created from scratch, even the samples are
sampled from scratch, Rob knows what i am talking about, we have
few coleagues from those forums in here too, like Shrike, Nikola81,
AkyBoy, Me, MrVlad and a lot of them more.

Paolo and Korg Italy,
Thankyou very much for your hard work in developing this OS, you have given us an exellent upgrade and no keyboard comes anywhere near this. You deserve to be congratulated all the way. The OS is more than superb, couldn't have asked for more. Looking forward to make most of the new update and for future update from Kort Italy
Keep up the exellent work
Thankyou

Yes Lee, you are right, we are working on something like that for the Registration
of PA arrangers for now...i dont know what else we'll be usefull in the future,
this is a way different comunity, way more demanding. On this forums so far
only one single person noticed the bug on PA800 and to me is a Grave Bug.
While on the other forums maybe 20 peoople already confirmed the bug to me.
If you add that to this forum it will be a total Collapse, i dont know if Korg
wants us to do that. Discussions and demands on these forums are way different
then here and people get HOT very fast. Thats why i am not so active today
on the new OS, i am just readin the blabering of people on the new OS and on
most of it i keep laughing cuz i know for a fact that actually noone tested anything
and most of them dont even know what to do with the OS. Everyone is just
satisfied with turning the synth on and thats it...hey works for them but not
for me and many others like me...as i said, i will ignore this OS heat completely,
i will report everything to KORG personally and in private and tht would be it.
Saying anything in here is just funny, where 95% of the users are VERY HAPPY
and its a great news but to me and my customers is going back to stone age
or 1.60. But as i said, i am glad, works for them.

Just to make a point Lee, this is a NONofficial Korg forum but its still Korg
forum and the whole world is involved, just around 60-70 registration.
15932 registered users.
The other forum i am talking about is a General music forum, is only a forum
from a comunitt of few countries in the Balkan only, 10453 registered users
and also more registration then here...round 80.
Doesnt that show you anything? Try to compare, few billion with few million
but keep in mind that this is Korg forum and thats Everything forum.

Well he doesn't need to start a new company, he works for existing ones. If you read his posts more you will see that he makes point and helps most of the time. I know he is hard on words but he is right in a way, it's his life and he makes his living with that. Just don't take too much to the heart. After all music is to be happy.
