If I understand the ESX structure, the only way to load new samples is to use a memory card and load all info. This would mean each card could only handle one set of samples. Is this right?
If it's done the same way on the new sampler, that will be a deal breaker for many people, imo.
My dream would be the sampling capability and bank switching of the microsampler. If it can sample a bar or multiple thereof, I'm interested. However, if I have to switch cards to switch sample banks then I'm guessing it's too much trouble for me.
Why only 999 samples with Electribe Sampler ????????

No. You can load individual samples or individual patterns from any of the sets that are on the inserted card, as well as the entire set. Also, with the play button, you can audition samples before you load them, and choose which slot you put them in.jbl wrote:If I understand the ESX structure, the only way to load new samples is to use a memory card and load all info. When importing single samples from other .esx files you can identify the samples only by a number and not by by their namesauce wrote:No. You can load individual samples or individual patterns from any of the sets that are on the inserted card, as well as the entire set. This is not really useful if many samples of the same category (e.g. kicks) has been archived in .esx files and you need quickly a specific sound.sauce wrote:This is true, but you can scroll through them with the dial and press play to audition each one before you load it.Tom 62 wrote:When importing single samples from other .esx files you can identify the samples only by a number and not by by their name
I can see where that may be a problem. Nonetheless, I have always done things a bit differently..Tom 62 wrote:This is not really useful if many samples of the same category (e.g. kicks) has been archived in .esx files and you need quickly a specific sound.
Not super relevant, but in the case of drums, most of my kicks, snares etc are loaded into the ESX in one large sample, then sliced. When I need individual hits I put them into an instrument slot and scroll through the slices.
