This is awesome! Thank you so much. I've been wanting something closer to the VB3 leslie sound and this comes much closer.

Now, it would be great to get the tube distortion a little fatter too.

Hmmm....

The key to better distortion is threefold. Set the CX-3's rotary amp to "Amp 1". Increase its drive to above 80. Then click on Basic>Controllers and set the Expression level higher..
all the way to 99 if you want. You can get some great tube overdrive this way. If you set Amp Type to "Type 2", that is the Hiwatt amp-powered Leslie amp and that will really really distort (but also will sound thinner). I use "Amp 1" on 99% of my organ sounds.

I've just now tried changing the INS 1 FX to effect 076 (Rotary Speaker Pro CX) and this did not yield as good a result as using effect 075 (Rotary Speaker Pro OD). The sound using effect 076 is more hollow, fizzy, thinner, and clips more easily.

I did come up with some new settings for effect 075 on the INS FX 1 slot, you may want to try these out:

Horn Ratio - 0.97
Horn Accel - 35

Rotor Ratio - 0.90
Rotor Accel - 100

Mic Distance - 035
Mic Spread - 85-90

Wet/Dry balance - 80:20

Adjust the CX-3 engine's rotary speaker parameters to taste..especially the fast and slow speeds for the horn and rotor. YMMV.

I haven't had time to experiment further, but I was also bumping into the clipping issue with held low notes, especially. I'll get back to this when I can.

I'm getting some lovely warm tubey distortion by running (36) Tube PreAmp Modeling in IFX slot 1 and then the second Rotary (75) in slot 2.

Now we're talking!

Try setting your volume pedal globally to "foot pedal". I used to have set for expression, but now with it set this way and I have my amp gain set at around 75%, when I pull the pedal back! the distortion cleans up as well as lowering the volume on the organ patch. I myself like it so that I have a lot of grind when the pedal is pushed full forward.

I haven't tried the tube amp model per amp yet though. I have to check that out.

A bit OT but still regarding the Kronos CX3 engine: I've been trying to come up with a good tone for Styx's "Blue Collar Man" organ. It's very punchy and has that up front sizzle. I'm at a loss as to how to replicate it effectively. Anyone created this or have ideas as to how I could get close?
