I just noticed you are both in NSW, do you know each other?

Best regards,

hey

sorry Rob for such a late response i hadnt been on i a few days.

Hi Rob,
no.
NSW is a state, it's pretty big.
We used to live in Sydney, but when hubby had to retire back in 2004, we moved to a quiet little backwater coastal town near Nelson Bay in the Port Stephens district.
Likelihood of me knowing anyone with a Korg around here would be zero haahaa.

I used to meet a lot more people when we were back in Sydney,
Turramurra music centre was my second home , they were fairly large Korg dealers & only 5 minutes up the road. Heaven. haaha

rikki is right nsw is very big place, so no we dont no each other as u can see, but u neva we might meet 1 day. turrumurra music is where i bought my keyboard a went to bavas for a while but they kept playing me around so i just went into the store n ordered 1, 2 weeks later i got my pa800...YAY

PS. Nelson Bay is a really beautiful place...

bye

Hi Nabil,
they're a pretty nice bunch of people.
The staff changes around a lot, so the only ones I still possibly know are Rob (owner) Ron ,& Mark ( who used to run upstairs, keyboard section).
Been a while since I last dropped in.

A face to the name.

Luv the picture of the house, & what a beautiful piano.
Had to give my little Yamaha Baby Grand up. It was slowly being damaged with all the moves we had.

Nice Chopper, my husband could do real damage with that one.
Bought him a mini one to see if it would be something he would enjoy doing. Nearly destroyed the mezzanine floor above the living room, so bought a ps3 instead. Happily destroying aliens instead of our home. haahaa

p.s. the new me, I may stop confusing members with my name

Rob,
Nice chopper....Actually I don't remember telling you...but I fly R/C and have since I built my first R/C system from plans in a book in 1962.

I fly mostly WWII giant scale, gas powered airplanes, with flaps and retractable landing gear. And I am a flight instructor in our club...

Lot's of fun...

You'll have fun in Corfu then - my friend Graham is into giant scale aircraft and helis and is an instructor. I'm just an average club flyer with helis really. And there is an R/C holiday hotel here, up to 30 holiday makers flying each week. We sometimes go up there to see what we can salvage from the wreckage.

Hi mrkorg,
Do a you tube search for Barbara Dennerlein, now there's a gal with chops. Also Dreamaiden and Synthia on our forum.

I don't think keyboards/pianos/organs have been associated with females throughout history, i know the harp has at times, even if there are skilled female performers they would be very very rare.
That's true for any instrument until around late 18th century. Females were strongly discouraged from persuing music as a profession even in the west. They would be looked at as low class gypsies or even prostitutes or as party enternainers at best. Believe it or not, it's still the case in many countries...It has a lot to do with religion, culture, economic status of females ...etc. ..At present, there's lots of skilled female pianists...A lot of them
