xmlguy... calm.
Search engines doesn't update immediately, they look the sites every "tot" days and then update the links. Changing things doesn't always permit back-compatibility: in this case, this is not dramatic... really, I think it is a lot less dramatic than the incompatibility between Triton and M3 sounds ;) :D
The comparison with the telephon number is totally pointless. You need infos? Go to www.korg.com and search what you need.
For discontinued products: there are no infos until now, but there is the space and the pages ready to be filled of infos, and the downloads are still there. Give them time ;) And take it easy

Guess what it is? It's the number one result from google when searching for the R3. Do you really want all your potential customers hitting dead links? Then to add insult to injury, it took 64 SECONDS TO GET BACK ANY RESPONSE TO THIS LINK. I have a 6Mbps link. The problem is not on my side.
now works.

My goal was to stress the importance of fixing a major problem. When a website fails to respond for 60+ seconds to common links from google, that's serious. Search engines links are one of the primary points of entry to a website. Thousands of hits could be rejected in just a short amount of time. Waiting until the search engine spiders update their cache is an unacceptable solution for any major company. Recent links to a companies products need to be referred to the proper location immediately, not with a huge timeout.

It is very unprofessional for a web developer to fail to account for link redirection and to not test it before releasing a new website. Relying on customers to run into a problem that locks up their browsers and then report it themselves is a poor way to do business, when it is easily foreseeable by qualified web developers. Most people won't report it. They'll usually just stop trying. This kind of problem often doesn't even show up in the web server statistics because the browser timesout and drops the connection. It can also cost Technical Support a lot of expense and hassle handling increased telephone support for customers who can't access technical reference materials on the website.

My comments were intended for Korg management and technical support, because I saw that they appeared to be monitoring this thread, so that they would make it a high priority to fix it.

Someone apparently got the message, now that it seems to be fixed, so I don't think there's any need for me to continue the comments.

Exactly. We were still in the active process of doing some of the redirects, so you were caught in the midst of it.

But we have not experience any of the long hang-up issues that you have reported. We'll keep monitoring and if others report it we'll see what the issue is.

Thanks for the input, passion and all.

Hats off to the guys/gals in the engine room for fixing things mentioned so far.

As we're speaking about the website, one thing that never made it onto the old site was the R3 patches converted for use with the Radias :

That was a fair bit of work and the more people that get to enjoy it the better :-)

Jerry,

I did not see it listed on the your new website and I want to buy one.

A direct link to it if it's there somwhere would be appreciated.

Does the online store still exist?

Thank you.

I'll add it to the que, but it'll take a bit of time - bigger issues ahead of it.

Thanks.
