The .set folder includes User Sound registration setups plus PCM samples. The way it works is that PCM loads automatically if you load the whole set or alternatively just load one piano sound from the set. Loading individual sounds gives you the option to put them where you prefer. Once one is loaded choosing further sounds will draw on the same samples and will not cause PCM to load again.

To experience the full range, an 88-key Korg Kronos was used to record this short demo. Everything you hear is the free Yamaha C5 (Salamander Piano soundset) coming from the Korg Pa4x.

Tell me please. PCM replaces standard PCMs or is recorded as an additional (custom)? And if I delete the sound of Yamaha C5, will the PCM retire with it or remain? If the PCM remains, how to remove it manually?

These truly are wonderful pianos - different league from the stock ones for sure.

Hope I'm not committing heresy here:), but how can I remove the 'thump' sound from the damper pedal? It's intrusive at high volume levels through the PA system. Thanks.

Hi Shandera,
PCM/RAM sounds are separate to the factory sound samples. All factory sound samples are stored in ROM (read only) memory which cannot be altered or deleted. There are no sounds in PCM/RAM when you purchase a Pa Keyboard so adding my set stores the new samples in RAM (Random Access/volatile memory) so there is no "standard PCM", just whatever you load. The Pa3x has a battery that keeps RAM active when the keyboard is switched off so loading is instant. Even if the battery is flat or missing the RAM sounds will load automatically (but it will take a minute or two).
If you want to delete RAM manually go into Sound Mode, press the Record button, use the drop down menu and select "Delete", then select All Multisamples and drum kits" (assuming you don't already have other RAM sounds loaded).
Always perform a Save All (with everything ticked) before diving into these things.

Hi Giner,
Yes I guess the pedal noises are a matter of personal preference. I have used the default levels per the factory pianos however they can be easily changed.

In Sound Mode, select your sounds (say Yamaha C5 Grand), press Menu button, select Basic, then Osc Basic Tab.
On the right-hand side scroll down to Osc 17 using the down arrow, touch the number 17 to make it the active choice (you will notice the top left now reads "Piano FX Pedal On L") Across on the Right-hand side you will see the level set at 70. Touch this and change it to say 40 with the dial (or touch it twice to activate the keyboard).
Go down one more (Osc 18 and do the same.)
Go down again to Ocs 19 (Pedal Off L) and change from 100 down to say 60).
Do the same for Osc 20 (Pedal Off R).
Finally touch the drop down menu arrow at top right and Write the new settings.
(If you want to hear the changes you are doing before Writing the sound you can Solo the Oscillator in the drop down menu - press the pedal and you will hear it at its new level).

Thank you very much, John. Indeed, pedal noise is very much a personal preference thing. If I was a real pianist, like SamCA:), I'd like the authenticity of your pianos. But as a humble popster, they work better for me without the pedal noise.

Minor update January 5, 2019.
Version 4.3 fixes polyphony issue on 2 included EP's where multiple repeated notes could cause note dropouts.
There are no changes to anything else including sound locations remaining the same.

The YouTube Demos are by Sam CA of this forum and yes he is both brilliant and creative. To the best of my knowledge he makes these up as he goes and yes they sound as good as Mozart or Grieg.

Yeah these are not actual compositions at all. Just spontaneous improvisations in specific styles.

how can i take only one or two piano sounds of that set?its a very good set!!!!thanks,but i can hear a "click at the start of some sounds?how can i fix it?i thing that i have to crope a little bit of the sound...yes?

You wont save any memory use by loading only one piano because all of the pianos use all the same samples. I'm not sure but perhaps some of the samples were chopped because of other user ram sounds. After backing up try deleting user sounds and loading again.

Because sample compression is used, this piano only works on the PA4X/3X/700/1000. As far as I know the Pa3xle does not support compression.
