buy a new USB. Korg format it.
I did that with both USB's I used, it has worked in the past. Did not work this time. But I will continue to try or beat my head against the wall (in 4/4 time)

Diego just confirm you're only putting the files that are contained in the folder and not the whole folder on the USB? That's usually the only 2 issues I ever see with updating a new version. Hope it works!

Are you sure you have closely read the section in the Manual that came with the download? There are specific steps that can be easily overlooked when going through the process of installing the update. For example, did you format your usb thumb drive FAT 32 in the KRONOS? Did you remember to unplug all usb connections/devices before starting any of the steps? Or, did you press the Exit button up to 4 times before starting the update?
"7. Go to the Global P0– Basic Setup page.To go to this page from any part of the system, press the GLOBAL button to enter Global mode, and press the EXIT switch up to four times."

I suggest you have the update instructions handy and follow them to a "T". That could be the problem.

Thanks EJ2 & Mikey I have tried both formatting the USB on the Kronos, and doing everything as noted but I ordered a different USB and should have it early next week for another round of aggravation.

Mine updated smoothly - it's second time, first I updated from 2.1.2 to 3.0.3, when I bought K. Though, I was still expecting for 4 programmable arpeggiators to appear))

Today I've encountered some kind of Step Sequencer bug - please check on your Kronos, as well as those who still has older OS - if this is just mine gear mulfunction or a new OS bug or whatever else.

How it looks like - when I select Al-1 program and go to its Step Sequencer, whenever I click its mode selection combobox, the Step Sequencer rows image disappears completely. Switching between exi1-2 tabs restores its visibility, untill i click mode selection control again. Common step sequencer is not subject to this glitch. Is it just my, may be temporary glich or anyone can reproduce and confirm it? Thanks.

I remember, I was experimenting with Step Sequencer on older OS and it never disappeared. We should notify Korg officials of this. I think moderators can do this?

If I remember correctly NEVER downgrade your Oasys or Kronos!

Too late)) But where is it stated? Haven't seen it in its manual. And people here say it is ok.

To the point. Do not downgrade, because it is of no use. I've just downgraded successfully to 3.0.3 but the problem still is there, even in older 3.0.3 OS. So I will upgrade to 3.0.4 again. Strange enough that no one had noticed this bug. So let's give this bug a name - Aziz SS-Bug))) I'll be a part of Korg's famous synths this way)
And I wonder, from which OS version it has appeared?

But anyway, I'm not going to downgrade to 2.xx just because of this definitely unpleasant but not critical glitch.

But downgrade was strangely too quick. So, although it shows older OS version in Global menu, can be there some effect of new glitchy OS's files still residing in my Kronos? Some kind of unclean downgrade?
That's why I'm asking someone with an older OS to confirm is this bug present on their system.

Because now I cannot tell for sure, was it on older OS or not.

I am experiencing the same step sequencer display problem. I have Kronos 2 with 3.0.3. So I guess upgrading to 3.0.4 is ok since the bug was already there.

Thanks. May be then it's not a bug, but a feature?))

If you can't fix it ... Feature it. I suppose you could call it a screen saver. :D

That's a great saying!) I think, with this undocumented feature or easter egg, Kronos is even more unique and valuable. Because it teaches you not to become too much attached to the means of work, which is musical instrument. It teaches you to become a cool musician, not only cool instrument possessor. So we can call this feature - become renounced!)
