Your room looks calm and inspiring, Hal2001.
I have 2 questions for you - 1) what are those headphones you're using with your Kronos?
2) Do you produce music for professional therapists (hypnotherapy, reiki, massage)?

Just wondering though from the pic, aren't you picking up a lot of screen glare?

Serious Korg fan I see. Wavedrum too. Nice. How useful do you find that wavedrum in the studio?

Thanks!

The Wavedrum is awesome - because of the actual physical playing you must do (no midi, no USB) so the players who come through here really love it. Especially orchestral percussionists. Fun box indeed.

[quote="robbinhood"]- We (metal mongers) play tilted because it looks cool.. quote]
Indeed looks cool. The way you're headed, I think you could skip the stand altogether and strap it on like Jan Hammer does his AX shoulder keyboard and you could run around the stage with it. On a more serious note, how are you able to see the screen at that angle? Or do you just step through your presets one at a time with a pedal? Even though I think it's a great screen and menu configuration, I wish it were tilted for better view (kind of like I had to tilt my speakers inwards to get the best sound). Good luck with your gigs.

1) Headphones are Bose QuietComfort 15. I personally love them. It's possible there might be some reprocessing of the input signal too, so purists might reject it, but I get totally immersed with them on and I'm satisfied with my recorded results that appear faithful to what I hear with phones 2)Yes that is the direction of my current compositions "new age/classical" style project and that's one reason I got the K because I knew the Oasys had a lot of suitable sounds I liked.

Sina,

I've said it before - it would take far less time to take a few photos and post them here than it took to write that last, loooong, post  So, not enough time to show us some pics does not ring true.

OutSTANDING, Bro! Love the Tascam mixer and the general layout of the room. Everything right at hand....similar to my setup. Can you break down whats in your rack, if you get a chance? Also, whats the device sitting on the left top of your Kronos? Label maker?

Absolutely love it!

This is just a sick pic! Love it! You can feel the intensity of your solo in that pic! Where did you get the "Lips" (as you called it) to augment your stand? So you use the stand in reverse of its natural position, right? Is it stable?

HI!

The rack is:

EMU e64 Sampler (vintajae!)
Patchbay
Behringer Headphone Amp
Ensoniq DP/4 (oh yeah)
Rocktron Intellifex
Alesis DATADISK (floppy, can you stand it?!)
Tube Works REAL TUBE guitar pre-amp (always wanted one)
Alesis MASTERLINK
Behringer Tube Composer Compressor
RMC Fanout Box for midi guitar - turns my guitar synth output into six separate string outputs into the mixer - yummy.
Yamaha R100 efx box
TLA FAT TRACK Tube Production Suite

AVID ELEVEN Rack to the left
Alesis WEDGE EFX processor with faders under it.

Yes - it's a label maker. When you get new thing - they need names (and routing assignments).

There ya go.

Sina,

You could easily silence most people by taking the time to take a single picture, which would have been quicker than your post. It doesn't matter what is in storage, or what is in transition. A picture of a single rack of keyboards, or a half-finished studio would be more tangible and helpful than all of the verbose defenses you spend a lot of time writing.

My neighbor is a handy guy, he has a huge long bar of steel stuff... we cut them and i welded them on the lips. now its unusable as a double tier stand!
but yes the stand is technically backwards. and it is VERY stable without the modification for a board like the triton which has a 90 degree edge, which the kronos doesnt. but for the kronos being a 3000 workstation i had to build the extra support!

Thanks! and no im not getting glare, i could read the screen just fine form that angle. thats just camera flash not letting the screen get proper exposure.
