For some context, I'm a member of the most prominent age group in the poll and spent most of my teens and twenties learning everything ITB. My desire to move to hardware is coming now because I never really bothered with it before.

I got obsessed with making music on iOS as a first step towards moving away from this. Now all of a sudden I have this urge to turn knobs, not stare at a screen and not make music with a mouse or tapping on glass. So I think there's probably a good bunch of us that aren't nostalgic for the older Korg machines but are fatigued by writing music in a completely digital environment and the electribes (new and old) do a pretty good job of providing a quick and dirty way into this realm.

Every Korg section on this board got a poll - volca board, etc. This is standard brand demographic research, not an electribe-centric fact-finding mission.

These kinds surveys have been around forever. They were once part of the pre-internet mail-in product registration process - a bunch of check boxes about age, use, household income, and most importantly: other products owned or planned to buy, magazines subscribed to, etc.

Aha... Thankyou.
If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad.
