I like these:

If you're not flying, these are light, strong, and custom fit. Use coupon code "R76" to get 10% off, and free shipping. Came to $224 total in the lower 48. Total shipping weight for a 61 w/box was 25 lbs.

Given the cost of investment in the Kronos X61, I went for the Korg case for it. Got it for £220.

Me too Derek - got the same deal from PMT Birmingham. Got to admit, the price made my eyes water a bit!
I hope it fits the Kronos 2 61 ok. Mines on order so I won't know for sure until it arrives.

I have a default keyboard case from Thomann, quite cheap and good quality (for Kronos 61). I like the leather (like?) handgrip instead of hard plastic ones which always hurt after carrying a synth more than 20 meters.

I'd be interested to hear how the official case works out for a Kronos 2 61. Just got mine and still trying to work to how to use the bloody thing so it may not be leaving the house for a while.

Like all of my other gear, my Kronos 2 travels in a Clydesdale case. Hey Jeremykeys, cool to hear you work there.
Cheers,
Gord

Hi Canoehead! How long ago did you buy the case? I might have even built it. Hard to say though. I build a lot of cases.

Nevermind, I see that you already bought it. Good case. I have the same one.

I'm in exactly the same boat mate

Actually I rang PMT today to ask where my Korg HC Kronos 61 case was, and was told that Korg are having trouble sourcing one for me, as they've actually stopped making them. So, I'll either have to wait and see what they come up with, or, go for the Gator ata case. I've got one already for my Roland RD700, and they seem to do the job, although I have to say they are not as well made as they used to be.

I really think it's best to get a proper road case custom made for your Kronos. Yes they are heavier but when you think of what you paid for your baby, it's worth it. There are custom road case manufacturers all over the world.

Well this was why I opted for the Korg HC-Kronos case. That said, if I can't get one, the Gator ATA will be fine. I only say they are not as well made as they used to be because my Roland RD700 case, which including Piano weighs 40kg (over 88lbs!), has only one handle in the centre, whereas the case I had for the Yamaha P120 had 2 diagonal handles - far more sensible for a board of this weight.
In terms of protection and fit they do the job fine.

If Korg have stopped making the case I would worry that it only fits the first Kronos. Might have to go with a gator case or one from Flightcase Warehouse.

Ok I've checked the comparative weight and dimensions between the KronosX 61 and the Kronos2 61.
KronosX 61:
41.42” x 14.25” x 5.28”/ 1,052 x 362 x 134 mm.
Weight: 27.56 lbs. / 12.5 kg
Kronos2 61
1,040 x 364 x 134 mm / 40.94” x 14.33” x 5.28”
14.3 kg / 31.53 lbs.
So hopefully, the original kronos case would still fit. To add to the confusion, there does also appear to be the HC-Kronos2 Hardcase, but I can only find it on one or two sites:

Bit of a mystery. You'd think at those prices Korg would be falling over themselves to sell you their case!

Did the Korg case have wheels on one end?
