Paolo from the Korg team did say this (and I reckon it would apply to the PA3X too)

Pa900 just had a new OS release with ipad/android integration added feature but no mention in the upgrade manual.
Yes, I'm asking the same question - it was odd that nothing was mentioned in the manual.
We are sorry for the wait, but we did the work on one side (the Pa) first. We'll release more details regarding the other side (the iPad and Android tablets) at a later date.

Probably that's what's going on. All they have to do is to update their website with a small paragraph saying SOMETHING. It would take few seconds to update the status. Especially when you talk about a sensitive subject such as Tablets. Just talking about Tablet connectivity makes everybody excited.

Generally, Korg Italy has a preference to use Pigeons to deliver the news.

REPOSTED FROM CLOSED THREAD

Didn't I see a post from Paolo earlier that said 1.63 OS update would come first and the Android IOS connectivity would come later?

EDIT:
Here's what he said ...

Are you sure that wasn't for the PA900?

I would assume the connectivity solution would be the same for all PA3x "type" keyboards. ????

Yes, that is my assumption (as I said above).
I am guessing that we will hear all about the "connectivity" and "apps" (if any) when they have completed the development.
I am also guessing that the PA side is done.

So what would people like to see in that connectivity?

One expectation may be a faster and slicker way of controlling sound, style and performance choices from a nice big iPad screen.

Another expectation may be to have much more control over editing. Editing may include things like step by step editor for styles, or sample editing. This may include aspects like drag and drop which could greatly simplify some editing tasks.

One poster has suggested that it is not going to match any of our expectations and it's not what we think. So if that is the case..what would be the most disappointing result of this connectivity? I know....to display lyrics on the iPad screen!

A great feature would be for the Pa3 to conect to the internet via tablet and update its OS by it self. (Automatic updates)
New sets and materials can be downloaded via tablet and transfered to Pa3 directly.
Expanding the favorite list for the styles would be greate. Why not have 100 favorit positions
A more advanced and easy to use Song Book as aplication

Connection with my mobile android is not possible for now....
Connection with my andoid tablet is possible in a two way....
1. If I connect Pa3x with USB cable from host then I can have access to files in my Android device from pa3x....
2.If I connect Pa3x with device USB from behind and then go and enable USB HD Connection then I can access pa3x files from my Android device.
I am afraid that thas all for now....
Maybe you can play some mp3 music from android device or you can erase ,delete copy something in pa3x without use of a PC....
And also I will add that now my andorid tablet is charging via USB cable of Pa3x.
But my Android phone is still a problem...Maybe android O.S version is a problem.
Tablet is 4.2.2 chinese CAT
Phone Samsung Galaxy Core 4.1.2

It could be that we may now be able to use a WIFI connection. ;-)

Hi,

We apologize again for the delay in releasing information about connectivity with tablets. We have still a few tests to do, but the release should be just a few days away (keep in mind there is a long holiday in Italy for the 1st of May).

The iPad and Android software is not developed by Korg, so there is some additional work to do to assemble instructions and test everything is working as expected.

As for compatiblity, the iPad app will work (at varying degrees) with all Pa-Series models starting from Pa1X. I can not confirm details regarding the Android app.

Best regards,
Paolo

Something still missing

Thank you.
