Check out page 36 of the Kronus Parameter Guide for information on setting up Legato touch. Both Poly and Mono Legato effects are programmable.Bachus wrote:
There is no legato play, or anything that can make them sound like actuall live instruments.... Sure the samples are of the highest quallity, but i cant make them sound like a real sax or trumpet, they keep sounding like really good samples mut not like the real thing... And thats where DNC voices in the PA or SA2 voices or some of the stuff in kontakt come much closer.
Maybe its my limited knowledge of the kronos, its only been mine for like 5 months now.

Thank you, must have missed that, in a 1200 pages document..Thoraldus wrote:Check out page 36 of the Kronos Parameter Guide for information on setting up Legato touch. Both Poly and Mono Legato effects are programmable.Bachus wrote:

Seems when playing legato, you can remove the attack phase from the next notez. Good to know, hoping to find a way that allows to switch samples when playing legato..
Better close this topic, because the discussion trailed way off my orriginal question... And yes i do realise the PA3x is far more diverse and has dozens of options the other arrangers in this cattegory are severly missing... It has more controll, edditabillity, and addaptabillity compared to all contenders...
As an alternative the tyros has a lot of features that allows the not so brilliant or the lazy player to still sound great. Its a trade off...
Still however i dont think i have the full list of features, from the Pa3x, what in your opinion important feautures are not documented in the spec sheet of Pa3x
The Tyros 4 has an onboard style editor, but this feature has been removed from the Tyros 5. Yamaha has promised to release an editor for PC in the future, but for now it's nothing more than a promise.fResH_ wrote:correct me if Im wrong, but does not Yamaha have software programs for PC that will facilitate editings and style making.

Well, I,m In ISTANBUL At the moment, And YES Pa 3 Is a great KB, but we are still missing many things when it comes to Deeper sound editing.
We made a great new sample library, Is Studio here whit many great musicians,
Almost 12 GB of Pure sounds, But we can just use 256 Here, And 512 when it,s <Zipped.
The problems begins when you wanna move the sounds in to the 3 x, Long waitings, And Missing parameters like better Legato functions like the KRONOS kills al creativity.
Here in ISTANBUL we are huge KORG community and we really ask for a UPDATE that solves the last missing Parameters, Legatos, Better sounding FX,s and some more But The most important thing is, For more realistic sounding on some instruments legato must turn of on mono whit chromatic rising, . And when we push poly sounds it must open.
I hope you guys understand,
Thanx

And they said it will not be available before june 2014...BillyHank wrote:Dreamer,
The Style Creator function has not be removed from the T5, but the Waveform editing has and it is that capability that Yamaha has yet to produce the software. What were they thinking - oh er- maybe no one was!
Which actually makes it a shame..
