I have the Gator case as well. If you gig enough to warrant it, it's very nice and about as light as it gets for this level of case. I'm on my 2nd bag/case (Kinda a mix of the two) and for every weekend they don't cut it. I'll be getting the Gator case for my other keyboard once that case fails.

The deep version of this case is the only
pre-manufactured case that it fits in unless
you get an 88 key case.
That's WAY too big.
It would barely fit in most vehicles.
Granted a lot of you are gigging an 88.
I did a Kurz 88 for several years.
It was not easy and I had to have a truck.
I'm hoping SKB makes a thick shelled
correct size case for a K73 soon.

Thank you John...at LAST, a straight answer!!!!Hooch wrote: I have a k73.

I ordered a custom made flightcase for my 88, you could probably do the same for your 76.
The case was cheaper then gator's hardshell, and -if built properly- it fits perfectly.
Check out audio & light renting companies, many of those build their own cases and may sell custom work really cheap.

I'm using one, but I wouldn't ship a Kronos in baggage with an SKB. The SKB flexes a lot and the knobs of the Kronos stick out a little to high for my liking. As an example, I had the keys of my CS6X get cracked when shipping it from Hawaii to California. Apparently they smashed down the SKB case enough to crack the keys!
I'm talking about the ATA cases - which the airlines make you sign a paper saying it's not an approved case!

I also can recommend the flightcase from Thomann for European customers.

Miden, I recommend you just get a custom built case for your 73 key Kronos. That's what I've got and mine also haso built in wheels on one end which is something you most definitely want. Trust me one this one. Mine is a Clydesdale case. I have an advantage in that I work there so I just built it myself but as an experienced case builder and owner you are better off with one that you know is going to fit exactly as opposed to always worrying.

Actually, mine only cost 230 $... Guess you need to know where to look!miden wrote:Trouble is out here with such a small market, custom builts are REALLY expensive...a couple of different quotes I have got are well over $700!!!

Only downside is they used really small wheels, which is a pain on cobbles...
