I've buy this set today, but......
the Karma don't work well with 1.6.0!!
Pity!!!!

It's is perfect with version 1.5.3.....

After installing the OS in version 1.6 – serious errors have appeared in playing back the Karma, this is also applies to the factory Combis of Korg.

As far as i know every factory combi or old combi from myself works flawlessly in 1.6 as long as i don't change the KARMA GE in 1.6 without applying the workaround.

maybe you discovered a new bug, so it's important that we test it on as many machines as possible.

do you have an example of a factory combi that doesn't work?

“Neo-Endorphin” Soundset was created on OS 1.0.4. It has worked perfectly on that version of operating system. Also after upgrade to OS 1.5 I have not noticed any problems – we are talking about Karma all the time here.
What is important, having installed “Neo-Endorphin” Soundset packet on the board of Kronos first and performing the update to OS 1.6 after – I also have not noticed any problems with previously installed combi sounds.
However the problems start to appear, when after making changes in combis we try to overwrite or just write new combis in a new place or when we try to install new Combis from the disc. Working on such combi – everything is ok until the moment of next restart of Kronos. It appears, that written combi – that was working ok until we switched the Kronos off – after switching it on again does not work correctly anymore. Usually the symptom of such malfunction is that one of Karma modules “freezes” (it sounds and brooms like stucked record). Effects were similar when I tried to write the changes in original Korg’s combis.
Because of that troubles, I came back to OS 1.5

Yes, that makes sense, after installing 1.6 the karma select bug was introduced, so only after selecting a new karma ge and saving then this behaviour starts.

But the workaround was available within a day after reporting this issue, so if you are changing the karma ge you have to select it twice to initialise the rtc model correctly.

But as far as i know no existing combis were harmed just by updating to 1.6.

I've did the complete karma programming for my latest soundset with 1.6 using this workaround and that completely solved the problem.

So if you changed your combi soundset in 1.6 without this workaround applied then people will experience problems with the karma settings in your soundset. The best thing you can do is sent them a 1.5 backup of your soundset.

On my 61 keyboard all combis from SoP sound correct and I have not experienced any problems on all verions of OS, i.e. 1.0.4, 1.5 and 1.6.
Furthermore I think they are really great.
But I also have to admit that OS 1.6 is kind of dissappointment for me personally.
