thanks for the comments!

I'm going to choose between four topic areas for my next tutorial, but i can need your help with that. Which topic area do you prefer for the next tutorial?

Topic area 1: KARMA Velocity Templates and CC templates.

This tutorial will explain how those velocity values work for your patterns and more important, how the CC templates work. CC templates can be used for Panning, cutoff patterns and more things. So it's possible to generate a patterns where the cutoff or / and panning changes with each step. That kind of tricks are great if you create a sound where for instance the velocity determines how much the cutoff value is and the CC template determines per step what the panning of that specific note is.

Topic area 2: toggle sounds on / off with KARMA scenes

This tutorial shows how to toggle or combine 4 programs for live purposes at the press of a scene button. So if you play live and start for instance with a piano, then you can press scene 2 and the piano is muted and 2 other sounds can be played. You can do this for each keyboard zone, so in theory you can switch between 16 programs in 1 combi just by pressing karma scenes buttons.

Topic area 3: building a pad sound from scratch in one of the EXI engines.

This tutorial shows the steps needed to create your own pad sound.

Topic area 4: Vector Movements for Motion pads in combi mode.

This tutorial explains how to build a motion pad where each pad has it's own programmed vector movement. For example, the main pad is in timbre 1, this one has an 8 step vector movement pattern that retriggers over time. The second pad has also an 8 step vector pattern but start 4 measure behind pad 1. So when you play, the first pad plays the vector pattern and after 4 measures the second pad with a slow attack starts to add movements to the first sounds. The result is instant ambient movement pads (drone sounds).

I'm looking forward especially for the second topic area since the way I do it now is using an IFX only for switching one or more timbres on or off and they have to be routed through the same IFX (chain).

First of all, thank you so much for these videos. They are very informative, especially to beginners like myself who are just overwhelmed at the power and capability of the Kronos.

Does your comment mean that you will be making videos to cover all these topics? If so, YIPPEE!!!

I find all the topic areas interesting, but if I were to rank them, with the first being higher preference, I would order them as:

Topic 3: Build a pad sound from scratch
Topic 4: Vector movements for motion pads
Topic 2: Toggle sounds on/off with KARMA scenes
Topic 1: KARMA velocity templates

Again, thanks so much for these contributions!

I'd agree 3, 4, 2, 1 but do not really care which one you do as they are all useful.

Even your descriptions of each topic are helpful.

Thank you in advance.

The topic order sounds good here also. #1 sounds like it it might get a little deep and maybe best saved for later on.
But thank you Qui. Maybe the order should be in an easier to more complex sequence. (No pun :) )

#2 would be most useful for me currently. But as others have stated, all are welcomed.

I like Lou's idea of easier to more complex as well.

I'm not sure about that. It depends on if enough people can use this tutorials. It takes about 4 hours to create a video tutorial of about 10 minutes. (That includes the storyboard time upfront), so i only want to create tutorials that are of value for a lot of people.

I'm trying to hide the complexity in my video's and only show the important things on a basic level to get people started with that subject. I really believe that by watching the video's and pausing the video's and experiment with the steps i display on the screen that you learn a lot of things. For instance, in the first tutorial, i also show how to chain Effects, assign effects and select an FX preset and modify some basic parameters for sound design. I do this on purpose so that people get some feeling about the way the Kronos UI is setup. But i agree, the easy to more complex order is a good suggestion!

Thanks you all for your comments, it helps me to get insight in the kind of tutorials you actually want. And that's my goal, that more and more people can use the kronos in a much more creative way, because the Kronos can really support your creativity.
