Major bummer. Hopefully since it is something that was done in the upgrade then it can be undone. It's strange though that it's not happening to everyone's. Is it just certain models that are having this issue?

I find it interesting that the software can have this effect on the LFO. Perhaps the reason the LFO was able to be musically useable at every setting was because the software was "stabilizing" in someway? Maybe the addition of making the sequencer 16 steps effected the LFO? Or maybe it has something to do with the addition of the S & H? I hope it gets corrected too.

I think it has to do with the spetrum of travel on the knob, or something. It seems that the range is the part that is jacked up.

I wouldn't be surprised if the LFO is generated in software. It is common in modern analog synths to use digital LFOs and Envelopes as they are not used directly as a sound source.

DING DING DING, WE HAVE A WINNER!

Post by MaxStatic »

It's the S&H feature doing this! Was just watching some of Korg.jp YT vids and the guy gets the same kind of meh while showing the sample and hold. Now just need to figure how to turn that rubish off.

So it looks like user error here then. Once I figure out how to get it back to normal, i'll report back.

*EDIT - push gate time and sequence #5 and your problems go away! I have my monotribe back. Somehow I turned it on, user error.

I did the same but swear it doesn't sound that much different. Now I'm thinking maybe I'm hallucinating. I can't remember what it used to sound like! haha.
