A new version of DirectEMX is available (v1.04).

This major upgrade offers 64 bit support for Windows and a new midi implementation called DirectMIDI that expands compatibility and possibilities.

It includes:
- Windows 64 bit version.
- Compatibility with Cubase 6.
- DirectMIDI implementation:
- Dumps are working from any hosts!
- Sending whole pattern banks is now possibe.
- Pattern renaming is possible.
- Knob mouse mode: Circular or vertical

- Audio Unit not yet available but coming soon


The Demo limitation have also changed.

DirectEMX, the VST/AU editor for the Korg Electribe MX, is now compatible with Apple Logic.
Also the new demo has no more time limitation.

i bought this plug and it does what is advertised; BUT (and that's a big one for me), on my Macbook pro late 2009, it uses 70% of the CPU, unbelievable! i can't have it running in the background constantly, have to remove and put back the plugin each time in my project; it does the same thing using the AU in Logic or the VST in Live.
In short, the programmer really needs to optimize his code, it should not take so much CPU to just deal with MIDI messages.
Hope they will improve that before making an EMX plug, right now, i can not use it like i would have wanted.

The CPU load problem is fixed in the latest MAC version (1.06)

Alright, so, reviving this thread. I am about to pull the trigger on DirectEMX. At the current exchange rate, it's only $27. Anyone out there that's used it? Still using it? Seems like an invaluable tool for integrating the fun and inspirational qualities of hardware with the ease of use and total recall of a DAW.
