I think i understand it pretty well and just try to avoid it with stupid coke-example as an excuse

so if you understand it (because obviously it's to extensive for me) you can certainly tell me if it's legal or not

Hallo Herr Frey !
Vielen Dank für Ihre E-Mail Anfrage.

It's in german. They say:
Es ist absolut legal, wenn Ihr Bekannter Ihnen die Patterns via Internet zusenden möchte.
means:
It is perfectly legal if your friend would like to send you the patterns via the Internet.
Von unserer Seite gibt es hierzu keine Einwände.
means:
From our side there are no objections.

finally got around to taking it out of the box... first thing I did was slap a new styleflip onto it. then turned it on...
as far as patterns... well they have lots of dubstep and seems that most of the other styles are all still there but just different.
one thing I noticed about the new electribe which actually makes it a good upgrade is the power source. Different plug now, so it can be used in any voltage situation and has the main lead able to be seperated and replaced with the right plug.
I guess it would be nice to update the esx with the new patterns,,, if they provide differnt patterns for this unit as well and some new loops.
I need to open the manual now and figure out how to extract this things

Preset patterns as with the Samples on Electribes are Royalty free and you can use them in commercial releases if you want (although you'd likely be spotted if you didnt change anything and ppl would instantly ridicule). The demo songs are a different story, but the patterns are all fair game. Same goes for pretty much every groovebox and synth ever.. they load the data on there with the intent that it will be reused by owners of the hardware.

Korg wrote in a mail to user "Discore" that it's okay to exchange the Patterns of the electribes!
So can please anybody upload the EMX-SD Patterns or send them to me by mail?

havnt figured out how to do this yet...
to be honest.. they are nothing really different than the originals except for some dubstep stuff which isnt really doing the bass correctly...
Im working fulltime.. so its hard for me to sit and trouble shoot this midi dump.. atleast I think thats how I get the patterns out.. or the sd card
Any ESX-SD patterns and loops would be nice to exchange...

@djfrogstar:
What's the problem? It's simple:
Put the SD-card in the EMX, press the button "Global", then hold "Shift"-Button and press Step-Key 13 (Card).
Key 13 will blink and the display will indicate "Load". Turn the big dial (the one to change patterns) till it shows "Save All" and press key 13, now the filename can be defined, just leave it and press key 13 again.
Now the file is saved to the SD-Card. (Manual page 77).
Put the SD-Card in a Card-Reader or a SD-Slot in your computer and copy the file from card to computer. Mail it to me or upload to a website like rapidshare and post the link here.
Thanks!

Hi,
I know it's 2014, but I just time traveled into beautiful world of Electribe MX. I finally got myself EMX (Smart Media version), and I'd love if I can get new patterns from the SD version.
Not sure why no one posted a download link here in this thread, especially since one of the respectable forum members got respond from Korg saying it's perfectly legal to share these patterns.
Is there anyone who could help me get them? I'm in particular interested in ones created by Denkitribe, but of course it would be great to get them all if possible. Would that be file with .emx extension?
Thanks in advance!
