I apologize to the forum for getting off subject...although the battery issue is pretty much covered by now. No offense was intended towards the gay community, I just couldn't pass up doctoring a picture that screamed to be used inappropriately (like blacking out teeth on a dental ad or putting a mustache on an epil-stop ad). I'm done being a jerk in here.

Really, $500 IS fairly cheap for a new synth these days...

BTW - Use Eneloop batteries, they are the best recharegables.
