No outboard effects were used. The organ sounds are exactly as demonstrated.
You're correct; I used custom samples to provide greater authenticity than the factory sample set allows.
Can M50 replace triton Extreme?

Since this thread is taking place on the M50 forum, I think it's important that future readers understand that the ksounds organ package will not work on the M50, which cannot load new sample data.

by moving to the M50, you lose:
- sample RAM - you cannot load any new sample data into the M50, absolutely no ability to expand the M50.
- aftertouch-sensitive keyboard
- ribbon controller
- ValveForce - it's recreated using the M50's effects processors, not an actual tube
- Lots of polyphony - EDS engine is a polyphony HOG, and you only get 80 voices to play with. one program can use up to 4 voices at a time, per key-press.
- No extra Synth board port (like MOSS or RADIAS)
- SPDIF ports, Audio Inputs, all sorts of ins & outs
I found it very simple on the M3 to take my Triton Extreme, open a program, and copy all of the program parameters of my favorite programs into my M3. It was also extremely time-consuming. You cannot just load up a Triton's PCG file into the M50 or M3. And for your sequences to carry over, you would need to save them all as standard MIDI files, and load them in that way, re-assign all of their programs, and effects. It's a major project.
moving to the M3, you wouldn't really lose any features, and it would be a decent upgrade, but with the M50 you would. Triton extreme is a great keyboard! It's worth staying with.

Guys,
You are missing the point here: this is the M50 forum, not the M3, for which the software was developed. The title of the original post is about the M50 replacing the Extreme.
Thank you.

The Leslie sim is identical...no difference between the Triton and the M3.evildragon wrote:I find the Leslie sim sounding MUCH better on M3 than on any Triton. Ditto distortion and overdrive effects.
It is overall just much better board than Triton. Especially piano sounds, EPs, etc.
