I have three brand new (boxed unopened) EXB-M256 cards for sale to European customers who purchase the Irish Acts Grand Pianos. The EXB-M256 cards are for sale at 80 Euros each, plus 10 Euros P&P to anywhere in Europe. Payment is via PAYPAL only. Send an email to rob dot sherratt at gmail dot com if you want one.
Best regards,

Just bought the Irish Piano set. After listening to the demos (and them only mp3's, so live it will be much better) I decided there was nothing on any Korg to match it. Apart from the Oasys that it is.

PS: James how long does it take for the download codes to appear? Just checked and Paypal confirms the payment has been sent and completed.
pps: Thanks James the download link was sent at about 7pm last night...Must have been a small glitch in the server.

Had a chance now to play with the Irish Pianos, BRILLIANT and a job well done.
I recommend everyone get a 256 mb RAM card (Rob S has some going at a good price) and get these pianos. They blow away the acoustic pianos on the Korg, and most of the Rhodes ones as well.
I was using the True Pianos VST on my laptop for my solo piano, but the Irish Grand will now replace it...YAY!! My laptops' processor will thank me
I have only used via cans, but later when I get the L1 hooked up I will let you know. its a bit early yet, 8.15am

PS: And yes, live they sound even better than the MP3!! As good as the mp3 demos are.

Hi Dennis,
I'm glad you like it, and thanks for your kind words.
Hi Everyone,
The few EXB-M256 cards I bought on my last trip to the USA are now sold and Korg will not allow me to be a distributor for them in future.
What I suggest to European customers - go to https://www.parcel2go.com/Rent-US-Address.aspx and rent yourselves a "virtual" USA post box at parcel2go's USA depot. Order the cards from www.korgusa.com and specify your parcel2go USA mail address as the delivery address.
Best regards,
Rob

For those who are interested this is my view on the piano, after playing with it extensively via the Bose L1.
Unfortunately it goes down the same path as many other sampled piano instruments when running via the mono Bose system. So its NOT the fault of the Irish Piano.
When played through headphones, and indeed I would wager that when also played through a stereo PA system, it sounds beautiful and is a well constructed instrument, but when it comes to a mono PA it becomes quite brittle and thin, across the range and not just the middle section. I found it quite sharp on the ear and a bit unpleasant.
So maybe I will just either use it only when I am playing for myself using headphones, or just keep it on-board in case I change to a full stereo PA again, although that is not very likely
So final verdict - great on a stereo system, not so great on a mono system.
By the way the True Pianos VST does not seem to have the same issues, but I suspect that is because it is a "modeled" Piano rather than a fully sampled piano. That is just a guess as I am not a sound programmer, but it is the only reason I can think of, because it sounds very similar in either stereo or mono.
The ProMega pianos from Gem were the same. Sounded good whether in mono or stereo, and they too, were modeled piano VSTs.
Also please bear in mind all of the above is just my opinion based on my own experience with it, YMMV.

Downloading problems for Irish Acts Grand/Rhodes
I recently purchased the Irish Acts Grand/Rhodes samples but am having a heck of a time downloading it. It starts out okay and then the download speed drops down to 14-15 kB/sec then times out. I have tried the download at least 9 times now but they all got automatically aborted not even midway through. Has anyone else experienced this? I have ADSL connection. I am starting to wonder if it's a server problem at the originating site. Any work arounds or solutions from anyone? Helppppp!
