Well, there are "enthusiast" on these forums. and others, so I guess their "waste of time" is just being more enthusiastic than others with less time

In troubled times like these a good laugh between fellow musicians is priceless.uktechsupport wrote:What a complete waste of time.......
aerial - I have trouble finding the power switch myself on certain occasions. I think a remote key fob would be the perfect solution. Maybe have one button just for raising and lowering the module.

how about a proximity sensor so that it can detect my rate of approach and be completely booted up by the time I sit in front of it.Trinity2112 wrote: aerial - I have trouble finding the power switch myself on certain occasions. going back somewhere near the original topic.... using airplanes as an example, history teaches us that the future is one or more glass panels -- not more switches and sliders and knobs. maybe one larger touchscreen, or something like that.
and more recent history teaches us you have to cram accelerometers into everything, so who knows what that'll mean for synths...

Sharp,
a rack version of the DSS-1?
Really?
I'll buy any synth that Korg puts out with real Analog filters (which is why I will never sell my DW-8000 or DSS-1). Analog filters can make anything sound cool.

p.s. seriously?

Current Korg Gear: KRONOS 88 (4GB), M50-73 (PS mod), RADIAS-73, Electribe MX, Triton Pro (MOSS, SCSI, CF, 64MB RAM), SQ-64, DVP-1, MEX-8000, MR-1, KAOSSilator, nanoKey, nanoKontrol, 3x nanoPad 2, 3x DS1H, 7x PS1, FC7 (yes Korg, NOT Yamaha).
maybe you should look at a computer based solution where no knob is involvedaerial7 wrote:No thanks -- I have my Radias-Rack sitting next to my M3, so I'm all set for knobs and switches....heck, some days I'm lucky just to find the power switch.....

i think the main reason to buy hardware today is to have instant access to much functions as possible per knobs and switches.
the more the better.
all i want is a sampler which can handle big harddisks for my sample library and has a 16 pad step sequencer on board.
my design only adds features to the m3 and doesnt reduce other features.
and many people have requested knobs instead of the faders.

the O-rack "already exists" and it was brilliantly created by Sharp:TSUNAMI wrote:Looks like a nice format for a racked Oasys too .....
