I agree that paper manuals are useless for something as complex as the M3. And I also agree that no-one should "read" a paper manual cover to cover, it's a bit like "reading a dictionary", it's there for reference.
BUT - learning how to use the latest electronic documentation in .pdf form is essential.
You can put all 20 or so downloaded documents into a single folder on your computer and then use Adobe Reader search facility to search all the documents at the same time for a particular phrase. It gives you all the references in one results panel and then you just step through them.
When it comes to finding information, .PDF stands for "Pretty Damn Fast".
