Hi guys,
You say that Korg appear to have remapped the factory percussion samples. I don't see how this can occur since all factory samples are in ROM and are referenced in ROM by all DK's that use the factory percussion samples, and the sounds are all played back from the ROM.
I think it is far more likely that a new OS2 "data structure" for a sound and a DK has been introduced to allow the new DNC capabilities. The old "data structure" for a sound and a DK is no longer compatible, and the format is not being "up converted" correctly (if at all) when you load the data into OS2.
You say there is a possibility the "faulty" DK's originate from a way back in time. This points even more to a .PCG data structure error causing incorrect pointers to be used, and not any kind of remapping of samples.
The best thing is to send all the .SET files that cause errors to Jerry for forwarding to Korg Labs. They should be able to quickly identify the data structure error that is leading to incorrect handling of these older DK sounds.
Best regards,
Rob

Ok, i am done with the test now. Everything works perfect. After resaving each
DK in 1.6 then resaving the whole set then loading in 2.0. This doesnt make
me wrong nor there is a need for me to apologize to someone for this.
What this all means is this:
Combining sets now has become triple more complicated since we are not able
anymore to load DKs from all kinds of sets...we have to each time go back and
forth between OSs and reinstalling, a scenario:
You found a style you like, it uses a USER DK, what you have to do is install
OS 1.6, then load the KIT, resave, install OS 2.0 then reload the kit in there.
Not something i would like to do. Paolo is working on this, i have faith.

Yes, currently this is a "work-around" while we find out why in 2.0 this was not "tolerated' as it was in earlier OS's. So we are not finished yet, but we found the main issue.BasariStudios wrote:Ok, i am done with the test now. Everything works perfect. After resaving each

Nedim's data was from Pa80 and not actually made on a Pa1/2/800. So for now there's a reasonable workaround and we'll work on a more elegant and true fix shortly.
Thanks for the input.

Ok thanks Nikola for the solution and Nedim for trying it out. After all of our "problems" finally OS 2.0 introduced a new one
Nedim, is saving the old SET in OS 1.60 enough, or do I need to resave each individual DK as you mentioned ?
Or do you mean going into sound mode and clicking on every drumkit and saving everyone of them?
I still have OS 1.60 here so before I upload will like to find out what to do exactly.

As Paolo said, resave each Kit, you have my old set. Then resave the set
and trash the old one and then install 2.0.
