Problem with SAX on keyboard is that many people forget how SAX sounds in real.
Most keyboards the SAX sounds better than in real. That is not possible.
This SAX truly sounds perfect (because of not being perfect).

macboy,
Yes & No...
A lot of the curent SAX sounds on the PA are in trouble. I find that note to note the timbre will sometmes vary WAY TO MUCH and sound completely different. It ruins a slow song tyle of performance for me. A little variance is OK and real, but this is way too much...even has kind of a honking sounds on only 5 notes where all the other notes do not honk.
The same is true of the vibrato, while a real sax player mat not get the vibrato speed exactly the same note to note...this is onca again WAY OFF maybe twice as fast...very poor and ruins a nice slow song..
This should never have gotten out of Korg quality testing.
The problem is in the actual saples so it can not be fixed with editing...new samples are needed.
I may try to substitute a differnt sample for the=ose that are wrong o see if I can make this better...but I don't have time right now to dig into it...
Maybe after OS2 is installed???

I dont know why korg has forgotten the legendary synths saxes for Pa series such as O1WFD, KARMA. KORG must put all the best synth library sounds in next OS or place as free downloads. I hope so.

You can assign DNC control to the various physical controllers, not just to the Assignable Switches. Assignment is global, so you must program it once depending on your setup or preference, and use ot forever.

OOHH,
DEAR PAOLO,
YOU ARE HERE!
We start to have the feeling that KORG leave us and moved to the M3,

and it is not good to anyone…
Thanks G-D, the light is still here…
Thanks for all the wonderful work that you are doing all the time, DEAR PAOLO,

Avi,
Sorry for being here less often lately, but I'm working hard on OS2. Moving away from the Pa? No way! On the contrary, development is going on at a really fast pace.
I'm really excited by the new features and the way they are being received at the exhibitions and private auditions. I can't wait to see how you will find them, as soon as the new OS is out.
Best,
Paolo
The fixes???? Mr Tramannoni

DEAR PAOLO-
Good to see that KORG and specially YOU are still with us, and with the PA.
Very happy to know that the good reasons of taking care for the PA\OS2 is the reason that we did not hear from you a lot at these days,
And I'm blessing you with all of my heart, to have a big success with your work and wishes, to defeat all competitors, and to be powerful all the time against all kind of sentiments that the world can bring to KORG team, to you, and to your work.
There will be all the time kind of people, that will not understand enough how hard and how much time things can take.
Do not be excited from that!
You and your team are doing a wonderful work with big care to there customers! And that it is the point and people will understand that at the end!
With BIG love and BIG appreciation,
AVI.

Hi Rob,
As usual, the new OS will include bug fixes and improvements, in addition to new features. But please do not expect that some major structural changes, that someone in the forum has voiced as "bugs", can be "fixed" in the next upgrade.
I hope to be back on them soon, so that some basic concepts can be made clearer, and possible changes be discussed with the right terms and -- mood.
Best regards,
Paolo
PS: Since this is the thread devoted to the demos, can we leave it just to the demos?

Paolo,
Well said....We are all lookig forward to the fantastic new features in OS2!
All of us that understand how this all works assumed bug fixes would be there...of course.
I have started a new thread describing what a bug in hardware, firmware and OS really is from a developer standpoint...I hope it helps some to keep all this straight.
Thanks in advance for OS2.

Some people in here dont get the difference between a BUG and a new
FEATURE they would like to have...they think a MERCEDES without a
headroof its a BUG! And yet they dont understand that they didnt pay
for it to start at...next time consider PRO TOOLS for PA2XPRO.
Or maybe put an SSL console on the left side.
Thanks Mr Tramannoni

Thanks Mr Trammannoni for your reply. I for one are very happy with the pa2x, and look forward to the new os2. Also the fact that you touched on some improvement to the old os, and better workarounds makes me feel that the decision to keep on with korg is the right one. I agree that this thread should continue to focus on the new parts of the os2. Thanks all

Well said Nedim.
Although i would like to ask you why you wouldn't view a pa800 or a pa1x professional? so what makes a pa2x pro a pro instrument but not a pa800, or a pa1x pro but not a pa1x?

Today I also saw and heard the Tyros 3. THey have just 5 new super articulation 2 voices. And one of them is that horrible irish pipe (who needs that one?) No the Pa2xPro is still the better one (for me anyhow), even with the "old" OS.
