Come on guys - how about cutting Shmuelsan some slack. It's obvious English is not his (or her) first language, maybe not even second. Most likely he is using one of those lousy software translators, and a bad one at that. In any case, I believe some of his words, and therefore the apparent attitudes behind them, are lost in the translation.
Even if he really does think the Korg sounds terrible, that's his opinion, and everyone has a right to his or her opinion. It's OK to try to change someones opinion, but do it in a civil way.
Peace

The Pa2X is powered by the EDS sound engine, which is exactly what the M3 is powered by.
So I don't understand how you can think the Pa2X sound “extremely deplorable” and yet you like the M3 ?.

OK, My 2 cents worth...
I believe it's OK to use some constructive crtisism to help a company end up with a better product. Going onto a forum like this and just listing a whole bunch of negatives does not accompish anything. It's OK in my opinion to even compare what another brand does right in order to understand how to do the same thing on the keyboard you have, and to give good ideas to the manufacture of yours.
What good does it do for this guy Shmuelsan to just come and say what he did? None. Just a waste of our time. Interpreter or not, all I got out of his posts were hated the sound of the PA... so why come here and say that in the first place?
I dont think he personnally ones one?
OK, Back to having fun with our PA's.

True there are a few peoples comments in this thread that are over the top. But so too is the topic.chuckdelp46 wrote:Come on guys - how about cutting Shmuelsan some slack. Both the Pa2X and M3 share the same engine at the heart where it matters most.
No way the filters can make that much of a difference.

Sharp - I thought your pointing out that the PA2X and M3 use the same sound engine, and questioning how Shmuelsan could love one and hate the other was not only a civil response, but also a reasonable question to try to understand what his problem with the PA really is.
I for one don't have much of a clue what his issues really are from his posts. Not sure anyone else does either. I'm wondering if something isn't really screwed up in the keyboard set-up and he doesn't know what's wrong or how to fix it. He just thinks what he is hearing is as good as the PA gets.
Is there an easy way to describe to him how to reset the board to all the factory defaults?

Hi chuck.
It could all simply be down to FX being turned off in the GLOBAL mode or something as silly. It's hard to know really until Shmuelsan makes his points clear.
It also depends on how good his ear is. If he's a die hard KORG fan with extensive knowledge, then he would be able to tell the difference between the filters & AD/DA converters used.
This sort of thing pops up on the forums quite often believe it or not. A few examples......
The M3 sounds compressed compared to the OASYS.
The Triton Extreme sounds plastic compared to the Triton Studio.
The Triton Studio sounds thin compared to the Trinity.
All Trinity sounds thin compared to the O1Wfd.
Just like the old Records VS CD's quality debate. You can't please everyone.
Still though, even with the examples above, there's no way anyone could say that they sound deplorable. KORG don't win all those awards for nothing.
Regards.
