Unless the instructions state it, there probably wouldn't be. If it were me, I would perform the M3 v1.1 update, make sure everything sounds OK, then perform the Radias update.khol wrote:Thanks Jerry, will install them today.
Now, is there a specifik installationorder? Should i install M3 v1.11 before EXB-RADIAS v2.0 ?

It is really time for korg to make a proper website. This one (korg.com) is really terrible. Just an example: the new os update should be noted somewhere on the page about m3, but it isn't. How can somebody who doesn't read forums find the update?
I was trying to reach the update from the product support menu, typing in keyboards, then M3 and I just get the manuals. I've found it, but the site sucks IMHO big time.
Sorry for the rant.

I have to agree with the poor coordination around the world. Every update should be available in Japanese and English at about the same time from the major korg sites. I think most of us downloaded the Japanese OS 1.1.1 and Radias 2.0 and then USA and UK sites caught up with the English editions weeks and days later.

I've put "korg m3 update" into google and the first three sites are not even korg ones.bctines wrote:google.comHow can somebody who doesn't read forums find the update?
Reading these forums will help you get more out of what you payed for.
I just want to say that it is extremely difficult to get to the update just by looking and searching on korgs website. There should be a link like "support & update" on the site for M3.
I went to the support site, put in keyboards/workstations than M3 and all I got were pdf manuals!

Well I got it OK. Sent me right to it. Search terms were: "Korg +M3 +Operating +System +Update"
Try going to "Korg.com" At the home page search or select the M3 graphic. That'll put you on the M3 base page. Look at the right hand column and all the update links are there.
In my 3 years of experience with Korg synths/workstations, they are ***very*** good about posting updates and add-ons as soon as they are ready for release to each language market.
So, I'd suggest always looking there first. The Google foray will often provide clues to other language sites or discussions about what may be imminent, or a link to the download site also. But Korg.com is the best place...or your national distributor's website.
And IMHO, it's not the "official" duty of places like Korg Forums or KLF to post the actual downloads. Discuss and link to them (when they're really ready), yes, but the manufacturer is always the place to start.
We as users have a responsibility to connect directly to the manufacturers and distributors. They are the chain-of-command. KLF & KF are helpers (and great ones!!!), but not integral parts of the makers.
I cannot fault at all either KF or KLF for not being on top of updates in the time I have owned my OASYS, M3, and SP200. I think you'll find ample proof of that if you search/prowl around both forums about OS updates.
And where else are you going to find active, almost daily, participation from upper level executives/technical folks direct from their company offices? Maybe Yamaha (for major synths/WS/pianos), but that's about it. (Although Yamaha usually relies mostly on their top customer guys, rather than senior executive staff.)

We are working towards a new site design, which will take some time.
But actually the M3 page is pretty logical. as BC notes, you go to www.korg.com/m3
In the box on the right there is About the Product (marketing and information), and For the Product (support items).
In For the Product you have Downloads - seems logical to me. Select that and see what you find. Yes, I know you also see Support next to it, but with Downloads right there it seems to me that you'd at least try that.
Happy Holidays all!

It's a piece of cake, which makes me wonder why anyone would have a problem navigating it.jerrythek wrote:But actually the M3 page is pretty logical

Ok I have a headache. I have followed the instructions to the letter and still am unable to update my M3 88. Any suggestions? I have taken everything off of the USB drive other than the M3 folder and tried several times to download the new O.S. Any help would be appreciated!

What is exactly the problem? (i.e. at what stage of the procedure do you encounter problems?)mikeyd wrote:Ok I have a headache. (the procedure is: m3sys folder in the usb (not in other subfolders), then update command from the menu in global mode)
