It's a good start. As you can tell, I'm not that smooth, but after EXILE is cut and out of the way, I hope to make an even better follow up. BTW, it wouldn't have come about if not for tossing it around on this forum. Expect two free copies for you and Sharp!

If I'm understanding you correctly, yes. You can send any MIDI track and any Audio track to the FX bus (pre or post FX - your choice) and just about any other destination.

This ability is why the OASYS is my favorite sequencing/HDR platfom, period. The hard drive, processor and dedicated hardware allow for low/no latency operations that no stand alone Motif, Fantom or computer can really match. (That is - audio operatios and synth/sample engines. Obviously, you can match up gear to get where you want, but not on a single piece, like the OASYS.) For all the noted shortcomings and omissions, the bus system, FX and overall marriage of sequencer and HDR allow me to work fast. Know that my style usually means playing all the parts and less editing construction, hence my opinion. Still - I loop, note shift, tempo drift, etc. in my editing.

I don't know about classes, but I'm all for getting together and showing you some tricks. You should check out these vids (if you haven't already).

So true here, Daz, and its good you´ve pointed this out.

Mike is a very valuable active for the Oasys comunity, we are very fortunate to have people as talented and generous as he is onboard, and also people like Eric, James, Kevin, etc, and of course you, my friend.

One of the best things about the O is the valuable, helpful and nice comunity it gathers around.
Regards.

Totally agree, David. I don't want to get all sappy, but I'm really keen about the company here.

Do you notice a guy, named Ultimate DJ? I don't see him. Is he invisible? (teasing)

Unfortunately, Dan is under the gun, so he hasn't had time for feedback (proof checking, actually). He told me not to wait on him, so I sent out to the replicator for pressing. I just think it's neat that Dan, Jerry, etc. care enough to want to help out.

As far as errors, I think most everything is good. I might not say a term correctly, but it's a working presentation - most anything talked about is shown. The most important thing is that you get to see a workflow. If you don't grasp Wave Sequencing, for example, you will, as there are some pretty in depth examples of the functions.

Obviously, I would like you to see the whole thing, from start to finish, as there is a lot of cross-referencing going on. For example, you may want to watch Vocoding, but you have to see Interface and Global for basic audio hookup examples.

The coolest thing about the DVD, is that after you've seen it, you can just flip the box to the back side and all the chapters can be easily referenced. If you need to see reference a specific part, you can jump to it.

Thanks for that compliment David. And I quite agree that KF and KLF present a remarkable community of friends, colleagues and fairly damn knowledgeable veterans. We are fortunate indeed.

Mike, that looks excellent. Is "THREE STRIPE" a new Jamaican beer commercial a la OASYS?

You know, I think a bottle of beer taped to the DVD would be a good promotion! THREE STRIPE is the short movie that some of you saw. A lot of people liked the "Filter Rhythm" sound that is used in it. It's strictly a bonus feature. Something for fun. Since it was scored with just the OASYS, I included it.
