Hey Nigel ! :-)

When you checked in the Globals you definitely enable Sysex receiving, right ? I can't think of anything else other than that would stop it from working. Ooh, maybe you have one of those funky MIDI interfaces that has a sysex filter in it. What MIDI interface are you using ?

Daz.

Hey Daz..

Nope.. Sysex is working via my seq.. so its not that. Using a M-Audio Uno.. (Real basic interface at the moment..) and no filters or anything.. When I press the randomize button.. nothing happens.. so Im a bit bemused to say the least..

Ill play around a little more tomorrow and see if I can work out if it's me.. or if it's me :)

***UPDATE***

Well, turned off my O and rebooted and now it works just fine.. Very odd!

Im going to dig around a bit more to see why it didn't work in the first place.. as I didn't change any settings on either the PC or the O. All I did was reboot the O and it started to work.

Anyone tried this randomizer recently? Does it still work with the latest OS? I also have an Uno interface, but can't get the randomizer to work...

Due to a recording session yesterday I stumbled over lots of iRandom sounds by Peter M. Mahr (I trust these sounds are still available on blogasys - file is called BLOGASYS.PCG - contains normal programs and irandom programs and some combis). I liked these a lot!

I have to echoe the last question: does irandomizer still work? Eg. on OS X 10.6.2.? I'd like to try it out - but I don't want to hurt my system ...

I have to repeat my question: does iRandomizer still work on OS X 10.6.2? Does anybody know?

I believe this tool to be VERY handy for creating new sounds!

Hi Charlie,

I confirm iRandomizer works on my Mac OSX 10.6.2.
It's not new but until now I didn't need this function.
So I tried now and I think it's very good. Should be built-in in next OS!

Daz, thanks very much for this great tool!

Regards,
Akos

Hi there.

Kevin, Daz answered already before me.

Charlie, I got more interesting results moving the randomize slider more to the right (= increasing its value).

This software is no longer available as I no longer have an Oasys to provide support for the software. Glad some folks got some fun out of it ! :-)
