forgive my misunderstanding..
are you speaking about Oasys samples only?
or maybe Oasys samples loadable into the Korg Triton?
bye
and thanks

Hi neutron.

The OASYS sample format is the same as the Triton Series. The only catch here is that I’m going to exceed the Triton’s maximum limit by a long shot.

Update….

Just reached the first 96MB mark. Which works out as 78 Multisamples - 500 samples.

So we’re well on the way.

Sharp,

What is the process or workflow of what you are doing now?
What software and hardware do you use?

Could we help in preparing the 96MB blocks as well?

Hi Duke.
What is the process or workflow of what you are doing now?
What software and hardware do you use?
It’s a bit of a mixed process because I’m updating data I originally released in the VL Project amongst others with totally new stuff nobody has heard before.

The stuff I’m updating is being re-looped on a Triton Studio simply because it’s already in KORG format, and arranged as multisamples. The down side of this though is the loop points won’t be as good as the new data because all the Triton has to offer is a crossfade feature to help the process. It’s not able to process the samples by remove any type of decay. That said, only the really good stuff will be used so there will be no question of quality.

As for the new data. I’m processing all that with Seamless Looper, and as the software suggests. The loop points are seamless. It’s a fantastic program.
Could we help in preparing the 96MB blocks as well?
No need. It’s kind of a one man job to be honest. It would be different if there where a few different people submitting PCM data. But since it’s just me, then there’s really nothing for anyone else to help out with just yet.

Not unless you want to name all the samples :-)

I’m giving all the multisamples proper names, but I had planned on just leaving the raw samples alone as far as a name goes. It’s data nobody will really see anyway unless they go digging around, and there will probably be close to 1000 samples when I’m finished. So it’s a lot of unnecessary work to rename them.

It’s not like it’s going to affect the sound design process. You won’t even see the sample names in any other mode than the Sampling mode.

Regards.

Hi Neutron

I get the feeling you have misunderstood something ?.
i will load ,and buy ,your OASYS sounds in my Triton with a lot of happyness
Buy ?. There is no profit being made here. I’m offering the PCM data to the community for free.
sorry for the answer....is it legal?....Korg...will let us doing this?
It’s my data, not Korg’s.
Actually I tell a lie. There’s one multisample in the collection that I took from the Trinity series. It’s a remake of the Trinity Piano that’s already in the downlaod section. But I don’t see them having a problem with this since I’m re-releasing this improved, and I’m not making any profit from it. As well as that, I’m supporting them by supplying the data for the OASYS community. So… everyone is happy :-)

then thanks ..for the free...work you want to share with us...

Hello.

No, I’m not sampling the OASYS. I’m creating new samples for the OASYS.

Just a quick update.

I’ve arranged to get access to a broadband connection the weekend, so I will be uploading the first 96MB this Saturday. As for the second batch. All going well I’ll try to have that one finished in time too.

Probably also leave it at that as this would give you more multisamples that a single bank of programs.

Regards.

Hi Daz.

Yeah, that would be much better. I may as well finish off the second batch then before I send it over.

Nice one. !!!.

Hi Sharp/Daz,
I am in Dublin, if you want to post it to me with instructions, I will upload it. This might be handier.
