Can this all be reversed?

For I guess what you'd call historic reasons I've just bought a WS EX off of eBay, although I already have the original KLC-1 and the DE. This thread seems to be dedicated to importing patches from the original to the software.

Question: can all this be reversed? If I have a great software patch, can I export it to the hardware version of the synth? I'm afraid I haven't worked with sysex (although about 15 years ago I did get my Roland D-20 to talk to my Amiga with Music-X).

Many thanks,

jj

Yes, 132 Wavestation banks for your pleasure, in wsram format so you can import them to RAM1, 2 or 3. This means you need version 1.2 of KLC-DE with Wavestation 1.6.

Daz will confirm when they are ready for download.

Hi Folks,

I recently bought the KLSP and I'm having a problem - the collection of wavestation sounds are in wsram format and the only file format the Wavestation recognises is .fxb - is there any way of converting the banks to fxb?

Thanks,

Jon

I have the stock Wavestation sounds that came with the 'free' KLC but where can I purchase the balance of them (and I mean ALL of them) that I still don't have? Thanks.

as far as i know you just have to but the full version. the free one seems crippled to not accept the additional banks, though it's happy to show you their names.

you should get a discount on the upgrade, though.

Wow, after 20 years, the downloadable zip file is still available. Sadly is not compatible with my current Wavestation V2.4.2.0 which only accepts SysEx files.

BTW, very happy to use it again. 5 years ago, I tried the latest version in Mainstage and it was impossibly buggy. I had to use the iPad version and trigger it from Mainstage as an external MIDI instrument, which was super inconvenient, especially switching patches.

Since I had a 2-3 years hiatus from music, and just set my rig up again a few weeks ago, updated all my software and the Wavestation is super stable now. No need for an iPad anymore.
