Styles who used track with DK guitar rytham styles patern dont work ok work just in C Major and c minor. it worked on the first one O.S.

Yes, those styles work with previous OS 1.1.0 and back on all other PA keyboards. Everyone is updating their products, Korg Italy made an downgarade. Maybe now it's in fashion and we don't know.
For the welcome screen at the beginning they should have put a message: "Thank you for your purchase".
On the next update next year on February 30, what they will suprise us?

Pa5X Critical Stereo PCM saving issue still not been addressed in OS v1.2

- If you import stereo samples , compress them and save sampling data as ALL.KST and when load later ALL.KST folder ,
the 30% of samples are corrupted with noise & clicks and raw format is translated conflicted !
The majority of users compress large samples so Pa5X sampler is useless for stereo sampling development !

- While all sampling data that are initially loaded and compressed , are working properly even if you restart your Pa5X , all are
there working perfectly until you save PCM in KST folder.
- If you delete samples or make a factory restore or load another SET.KST , then it's impossible to restore these PCM samples
when try to load ALL.KST or SOUND file , over 40% of samples are corrupted and it's strictly PCM saving management failure.
This doesn't affect loaded Pa4X compressed samples or imported MS that are in older L-R pair format.

Pa developers or anyone can recreate this critical PCM issue with resources I provide.

2. save sample and select compression or compress all samples.
Sample always work fine again even if you restart your Pa5X
3. Save ALL.KST in any created KST folder.
4. Make a Pa5X factory restore or delete samples and multisamples and load back saved ALL.KST.

Converted Pa4X Styles still have issues.

- Some tracks are wrongly converted to no Transpose while they were at i-Series mode.
- Style engine decides itself automatically to change Track Type according to used Sound bank type and not actual sound type !
If this was programmed on purpose , its completely wrong , user definitely only must decide of track Type not System !
- Critical CC# converting error , CC#13 after conversion is translated to CC#21 (Effect AMS)
- While editing and saving converted Styles sometimes changes won't be saved and sometimes system is freezing while saving !
- Every 10 Styles I edit in editor , in one of them after saving , Pa5X freeze on exit at "Please Wait" window and after
Reboot , Style was found saved at another Bank ...
This usually happens if you press & type fast.

If you want to copy Var1-CV1 events to empty Var1-CV2 this is not possible while in "All" Track mode ,
we have to copy one by one all tracks separately.

- Missing Delete + Key button was essential in order to easily delete a specific key note !

1. Using Quarter-Tones across the full keyboard (Left and Right Sections), while in transpose, causes the arranger to play accompaniment tracks that are completely OUT of tune ! It renders the arranger useless in any quarter tone / transpose situation ! One can of course turn off quarter toning the left section, but that is a terrible way to try and play the keyboard! Try it on any style. Play the style, then transpose and set a quarter tone to a key other than the root note (for example, play G Minor, and quarter tone the A key). It will detune the G note on the arranger for no reason!

2. Unable to save the 5th quarter tone preset permanently. This is the one that is normally labeled "User 5". What happens if you save a preset in this location with a custom name, is it takes the save. But then at some point as you play the keyboard and navigate screens throughout the show, it erases it and labels it as "User 2". Very annoying, and hard to replicate. But if you play the keyboard long enough, you will see that any quarter tone preset that you create with a custom name in the User 5 location automatically changes its name to "User 2" after a while.

3. When assigning any of the 3 switches (SW1, SW2, or SW3) for an OSC as a Sound Controller, it no longer works. It only works if it is set as a temporary switch. But setting the Sound Controller as a TOGGLE (not booking), it no longer works at all. Try it on any sound, and you will see that in sound edit mode, you can no longer use the TOGGLE feature for the sound controller. Only booking works.

4. Manual Bass functionality needs to set BASS volume to maximum (127) in order to hear the manual bass come through properly. This used to work on PA4X and prior. It has not been fixed on the PA5X since the start.

5. Starting an MP3 on one arranger (either left or right section), doesn't start the minute you push the button. Similarly, if you are setting up a rhythm to play on the left or right side, while you are already playing an mp3 on the other side, the style never starts exactly at the push of the button. It makes it impossible to truly "sync" rhythm styles and mp3s that are playing. A rhythm should start immediately when you press the play button, while the mp3 is running. Similarly, the other way when trying to start an mp3 on one arranger, while a style is playing on the other.

6. Sync Start / Stop doesn't work when both arrangers are running. It will only start/stop the side you are currently faded into, while the other continues to play. So when you try to "restart" the stopped side you let get of the left hand keys on, it only starts in "sync" with the side that continues to play. It makes it impossible to sync/start/stop unless you remember to manually stop the other arranger.[/i]

didnt appear to have some of these issues
or if they did , i had'nt DISCOVERED them, quick enough.

Pa5X Chord Recognition issue

11th is not properly recognized :
G-B-D-F-A notes give G9 chord but if 11th (C) is added , recognition still shows G9 (G-B-D-F-A-C)
- If you omit 7th at chord , G-B-D-A-C , chord is wrongly recognized as minor scale Gm11
- Proper piano position of G11 chord G1-F2-A2-C3-D3 is recognized as G9sus but in tracks 11th is played an octave lower as sus4
- Some happens in Major 7
Gm11 & G9(#11) are correctly recognized though

G11/11th was properly recognized in all older PaSeries.

Screen frequently freezes while editing and do not respond until you press menu and re-enter function.

Option Save Mic Preset from menu is not available (Mic/Guitar tab must be active). The only way to save VP is going to Menu>Mic Preset

The lighting intensity of the Matrix keys cannot be set. This issue has been existing from v1.0 onwards.

You can find it in the Settings -> Interface tab. Look for the matrix light and try to adjust the steps using the dropdown, the matrix lighting does not change. The lighting of the joystick changes.

After update, korg pa5x guitar mode loops dont change key, that track plays in same key no matter what you play....

Hello, with previous O.S. 1.1.0. when I went to Book or SongBook (Setlist) I could change and play the sounds keys in one click, which was very convenient.
Now with the O.S. 1.2.0 if I select the button Book or SongBook I have only the Styles not the sounds.

USER DRUMKIT / SAMPLE ISSUE


After updating to 1.2.0 OS, I have noticed that some sampled sounds found in my User drumkit are now empty and missing (e.g. sampled kick, sampled percussion notes etc).

The same style and drumkits worked perfectly in OS 1.1.0 but now do not work on 1.2.0.

In sequencer mode, load SMF hit play next try to jump any Track you want. It is not possible. The only way is to stop playback.

Bug in Microtune switch in B note

- If you assign microtune via a controller like SW1-3 , B note selection does not respond to microtuning despite that key B is lighten in microtune page.
- In microtune page , try to disable and re-enable B note , still do not alter tune of note unless you activate another one and then its tuned properly.
- If you go directly at microtune page before using microtune switch , B note works fine so its related to microtune controller bug.
- If you simultaneously press B and any other note using microtune controller , it works properly though.

When load mp3 song in my case i have and text with same name like mp3 korg pa5 dont load automaticly. In pa4 that options is worked.
