with Logic pro, it works fine if you play one hand at a time. If you want to play both hands together, you have to use a split on the keyboard and record 2 different voices. Like the other softwares, you have to play in tempo or you will have a lot of work to clean (with the step editor).

Metronome is not needed anymore with the Update 10.4. for Logic Pro X. "Smart Tempo" was introduced, an algorithm for analysing the Tempo from audio-recordings played without a click.

Since the Logic Pro X 10.4.2. Update "Smart Tempo" now also analyzes the tempo of MIDI performances recorded without a metronome.
