I can't remember.
When Korg said we could expect the editor in November, did they actually say 2011?

KORG KRONOS EDITOR AND PLUGIN EDITOR
Hello
On the note joined to to the update of the operating system 1.5, the last paragraph is written in the future. I see that subject was aborded in December.
The lack of an editor...
Can we expect a response of KORG ?

Hi Martin,MartinHines wrote:I would think it fair if you paid the dealer 750 Euros when the editor is delivered. The alternative would be for you to not use the editor when it is released, since you were compensated for its absence.MRedZac wrote: No. It´s only about, what is at the date of delivery. At this time in december, the editor was not available, while it was advertised to be part of the package , and it was not foreseenable, when it will be available. So, what comes in future, doesn´t count.
Furthermore, it is not only the missing editor, but also the mesureable amount of time, you have to spend longer to programm/use the Kronos without Editor.
I can understand the logic of not paying the full price (in your case getting some money back) since the editor was not included as promised. However, if you use the editor without paying anything for it, that would be dishonest.
I don´t agree with your last sentence... The missing editor on delivery is one point, but the other, more important point, is the damage this causes, spending time on all the workarounds needed to implement the Kronos temporarly in my studio environment WITHOUT the editor.
If I just calculate 20 bugs (while the usual hourly rate for studio is 55,00 Euros) for each hour spent only on reading parameter guide for sysexes again and again, the lack of total recall, etc. etc. instead of being productive, from beginning of December until now (or even until the editor will be delivered at some time in the future) I could have gone far beyond 750 bugs... But live and let live.
I did not return the Kronos, due to I still think, even the editor is missing for now, over all it is one of the best synths on market. BUT: The "perfect DAW integration" was my main argument for buying it and like most other users, I had to find out only after buying it, that the editor promised was not (yet) delivered with it and nobody knows when it will be finally rolled out. Furthermore, no one at Korg feels responsible to give a clear statement on the delivery date.
Mainly because of that, there has to be a clear signal to Korg, that advertising an editor being delivered with the Kronos while in reality there is no editor, is NOT the way, clients want to be treated.
Since all the complaints from users at this or the german Korg forum, even emails directly to Korg support and product managers, did not lead into any results, the only way to make Korg waking up is, if it costs money. A lot of money. Their money.
And if I read all the comments here, I wonder what the people here think of Korg !? - I have the impression that the majority sees something like the salvation army in Korg, while it is just an international company, not delivering for several months now, what they advertised to be part of the initial package. Fokushima and natural desaster back and forth.
That the Kronos is sold in USA in some shops for 2699 USD, while it is sold in Germany for minimum 2999 Euro (for the 61 Version), shows, that there´s a huge margin of profit on each single keyboard... Already the price difference between USA and Germany is 950,00 EURO (1250,00 USD !!!) and for sure in USA, even with the lower price, they still earn money on the synth...
So, I´m not worried after all, that 750,00 Euro for my inconviniences will ruin Korg or will change anything on the price level for future developments...
There should be a lot more people following my example, instead of picking on me, but it seems to me, that whether some of you have won a fountain of youth in the lottery and can afford, spending hours and hours of precious lifetime for nothing, because an enterprise did not deliver what was advertised and payed for (and this is nothing but a fact, it cannot be sugarcoated at all! - So, who is dishonest now?) or these people, moaning the loudest here, are simply not in a real need right now, to use the Kronos day by day in a studio environment... But maybe this day will come...
Sorry to those, believing in the godness called Korg, whose tender feelings I might have hurt by daring to see the bare facts and reacting equivalent. This is all, but neither unfair nor dishonest.
Cheers

I'm inclined to agree with MRedZac, it's not that the Kronos isn't a great board, it's just that it's incomplete and doesn't have what Korg said it had one year ago. I know I have been holding back on it because of the no editor, and not wanting to get into the problems with sysex in daws and so on. When will this end??? Please Korg lets have some answers.MRedZac wrote:Hi Martin,MartinHines wrote:I would think it fair if you paid the dealer 750 Euros when the editor is delivered.
