a workstation with this price, needs more powerful sequencing/ recording features.
at least as software for pc/mac.
it needs piano roll, Wave editors, elastic audio and much, much more.
maybe it just needs much, much more updates.
if KORG will be updating it, it might beat software. since it has OK controls, and a touch screen(something software pc/mac don't have!!)

OASYS is great Karma Performance tool,
but very bad WORKSTATION,
even late arranger keyboards are more powerful WORKSTATIONS than OASYS!!

KORG did great job designing it hardware wise, and the whole OASYS concept.
it has a good future, but korg team is falling behind on improving it.
i can only imagine how far OASYS can be taken
World needs Nikola Tesla’s technologies

Daz & Sharp,

I think it's past time to close off this thread. There's nothing more to be gained regarding this topic.

I understand both the pro's & con's expressed, but the reality is that a steady stream of whining (seems like many of the posts were) may just convince Korg that many Oasys owners are ungrateful and malcontents and thereby poison the well.

There is no sense in beating the horse any longer unless you want to make sure you kill it.

Ken -

Totally agree with you. Jerry has responded as far as we're going to get on all similar threads. There's nothing more to be said at this stage.

Kevin.

Yeah, I'll never understand the "never satisfied to the point of getting angry" thing. This isn't like Roland's VariOS, where 2 cards were released and nothing else. After 2 year Triton cycles (from 1999 - 2005, the Classic upgrades to Studio, then Extreme), I very much appreciate that going into the OASYS' 4th year, that Korg is still mum on what's in the pipeline. Personally, I take that to mean that there still is a pipeline.

I want the upgraded M3 sequencer features, too. But, I'm going to ask, nicely - instead of insulting the company and demanding them. Here goes: Dear Jerry, Dan, etc. - The work you guys do is incredible and I really like the OASYS. Is there any way that some of the features added to the M3 can be ported to our next OS release? This would make sequencer users like me and a lot of other people very happy! Thanks for listening. :D

Thats it, Mike.
In fact it would make the OASYS sequencer users life easier.

Well said and very well written.

Kind regards.
Regards.
