sorry to say my word, but it is latest news isn't it ?
About this funny remark :
PS; Does the Japan radiation/devastation problem affect this units production?
No, of course, just air, earth and oceans, since it looks like 3 reactors of Fukushima are in fusion, totally or partially.

Are you Fukushimed ?

You're completely right. That's surprising, and I'll take that with a grain of salt until someone has confirmed it by opening it up a Monotribe and taken a few pictures :)

About whether that makes a difference or not; that topic has been discussed to death and back on several internet forums. Let's not start another discussion here :)

MIDI mods

So the past few days have been interesting in Monotribe land.

The monobot over at http://monomodder.blogspot.com/ has posted guides on controlling the drum decays, adding separate 1/4" outs for the three drum sounds, and implementing CV (kinda).

Then, the folks at MuffWiggler discovered in this thread: http://muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0 that the onboard CPU is actually set up to send and receive MIDI signals out of the box, and all you need to do is wire up the actual MIDI connectors.

YouTube videos have been posted for MIDI in/out, but the MIDI in is more interesting (to me, at least): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9N7JE6u82w

Cheers, and nice to meet all of you :)

why do we not have a dedicated monotribe section/forum. This makes no sense. It's a new product and needs it's own section.

just got mine today. stoked about midi-in. I would def like to have an external keyboard to control the synths. I thought about ordering the midi-if for my monoTRON from beatnik.jp (I think that's the site). but if monotribe is ready for midi then it should be easier to hook up the controller to the tribe.

mods - hook it up with a monotribe forum.

There needs to be enough monotribe "traffic" before the mods will even consider a dedicated sub-forum for a new product. Check the microstation requests that the mods continue to ignore. I'm sure as the popularity of the mt builds they will implement such a change.

haha well there probably won't be much traffic if there isn't a section. parodox?

which comes first the discussion or the subforum?

I would say the subforum.

Ummm, did you not notice the Korg Synth (General) sub-forum? That's where MT posts should go right now. If there's enough traffic to warrant it's own sub, then the mods will do it.
