Hi .

I did ask to Awave Studio about KORG PA2X pro , you can see the answer .

Hello ...

At 17:13 2008-05-16, you wrote:
>I would like to know if on future you will do your software to read KORG PA2X pro multisample ( RAM ) files ?
>If yes, I would like to know how can I buy your soft (Awave Studio) ...

There's no immediate plans for that, that doesn't mean that it couldn't happen, but no promises made.

Best regards,

It is very sad for me .

Hi Lika,

re AWAVE and other 3rd party products ...

Korg have not yet published the necessary file format details for the Pa2x, Pa800 etc. So, it is impossible for any 3rd party developer to provide any software that is compatible with these Korg keyboards.

At the moment I understand that Korg's policy of not publishing this information is because they think no users really want to use 3rd party software to manage the .SEt file and sample contents on their Korg keyboard. Korg tell me that I am in a minority about this. So no priority is assigned and no date for fixing the problem.

If you want 3rd party products to work with your Korg Pa keyboard, then you MUST please complain to your Korg Dealer, and make sure they write to Korg Italy and get them to send you a copy of the letter and any response received from Korg Italy. This is the only way to persuade Korg to publish the necessary information.

Hi Nedim,

Please tell me more? If you can email me with any information, specifications, sample files (MP3 etc), web links etc I will be most interested. I'm at an all time low with my Korg Pa2x because of the closed file format issue and broken .SET files as you know. However since this is a Korg Forum, and out of respect to many friends on this forum, I think we should keep all correpondence about Ketron in email.

Rob, gimme few and a big e-mail will be comming. As for me...
with all due respect for KORG and all of my coleagues, i was always
KORGs DieHard fan and i guess i will always be...i sould still be here
and help as much as i can...and probably i am buying a PA800 soon
again...i just need it...a lot of requests and stuff...the mashine is good.
But me going somewhere else is different, from all of my knowledge
and experience i have from many synths and brands i finally found my
heaven to play with...i was always neglecting for some reason, just being
unreasonable and also in denial only cuz i havent heard much about it.
Things changed now and are very different.

And yes, i can be harsh sometimes or fast but thats my personality,
sometimes i have reasons and sometimes i am right about it...but...
i did a lot for KORG for the last few years, i can credit myself for many
thing they achieved thru me...things which they will never know about
(i am just nobody) and noone ever approached me to atleast aknowledge
something...another thing is also it is a lot of things on other fields too
but in different languages...things done for KORG but not known by KORG.
Its very different when someone ignores you even when you fall on your
knees and its very different when you meet the owner of another company
and a guy tells you in the WareHouse...
Well Mr. Nedim...its all yours, anything you pick from here...
i was like a kid in Toy'sr'us with noone inside, feel free or HELP YOURSELF.
It is very different, and i know the guys for not longer then 3 weeks.

And there is something else to it:
The KORG I30 i have, wont trade it for anything in the world!

Korg Waits???

Post by robkeith »

Would I be wrong If I was to assume that when the Audya hits the market, that may make some, or many think about whether the 2PAXpro was the better choice. I reckon that Korg may have a very big update. And as much as it would grate on us, we that have allready made the purchase, it makes marketing sence to release new features, updates for the PA2xPro when that occurs. Dont jump ship just yet, I would be waiting until the Audya release to market, or at least the release of the manual on the internet. I have no connection to Korg, but have a keen sence of marketing skills, and also I could be wrong, lets wait and see

Well i dont think those 2 synths can be comparable...Audya will also be
doubble or tripple the price of PA2Xpro, they are not same cathegory synths.
Audya is more of an OPEN SYSTEM thing then just being an arranger,
its way ahead for now and from what i know of. So it is not comparable
nor the customers who would buy PA2X would consider AUDYA, its 2
different worlds and A LOT different prices.

Hi Nedim,
just read on one of the sites, they're approx 4,500 Euro that's just over $7,000 USD & possibly not due till sept, maybe as late as nov.
Who knows what one can beleive.
If that price tag is correct, it will possibly put some potential buyers off.
Anyway I'm still waiting to read the manual. Hoping they've improved the style creation functions.
The Sd1+ style editing/creation functions are woeful. No import/export of midifile style parts. No event list editing. Even the copying of style tracks, the track I'm copying to/from has to be of equal length.
Hopefully with the Audya , they've realized users require more from editing than just changing a sound or adjusting volumes between tracks.
That doesn't help fix a wrongly recorded note.
Meanwhile I'll just hang onto the SD1. I luv the sounds, I like some of the styles. Have to wait & see how Audya stacks up & what the price tag is where I live before I'd consider trading it in.

Meanwhile my PA800 is here to stay. It's given me all the style creation functions my current Ketron doesn't have.

Look forward to your review.

best wishes
