enabling karma with midi file created in a DAW

Post by rossb »

I have created a midi file with Reaper. I have loaded it into song 000 and it plays as it should in SEQ mode. However when I copy a combination into SEQ mode Karma doesn't produce the sounds as they are heard in Combi mode. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help.

In Seq mode, in the Copy From Combination dialogue box, ensure that the Multi REC standby option is checked before performing the copy. This will cause the necessary settings to be adjusted automatically. The FX boxes will also need to be checked prior to performing the copy, if the intention is for the Song to sound as close as possible to the original Combi.

In The Parameter Guide go to the end of page 821 (the right hand column). The section "Trigger KARMA generation from external
device/sequencer" may have part of your answer. It appears to be a multi-part process.
