Iron Man repulsor sound design

Post by ChrisDuncan »

I don't know his name (ChameleonMusic his his YouTube handle), but I just wanted to give a shout out to this sound design video.

First, it's just fun. Who doesn't love Hollywood big budget / Iron Man explode-y type sounds? And it's a good recreation at that.

As you all doubtless know, there's just not a ton of YouTube content out there for our beloved Kronos. Once upon a time, sure, but it's long in the tooth now and people want to play with newer toys. So, it's always nice to see Kronos content, especially when it reminds me what an absolute beast this keyboard is.

Also, it's difficult to create a good quality video for the Kronos. Unlike modern day things like Yamaha Montage M's ESP plugin, where you can do a screen capture of the software while talking it through, with the Kronos you have to point your camera at a small touch screen, hope the lighting allows it to be legible, etc. Not an easy video to do well.

I thought this was not only a fun sound design video but also something with good production values on the video side of things.

So, check it out. Then go blow something up.

And if the guy who created this hangs out here, introduce yourself. Always good to know who people are.

Great, I like his channel even though it's still small and new. I haven't seen him before.
So, having new K3 clients in mind it's great to have some new resource available.
