Output 1&2 sound quality not as good as headphone
I connect my Kronos output 1 and 2 to Apogee Duet 3. What I heard from the headphone that connected to Apogee is having much lower sound quality than I connect the headphone directly from my Kronos. I just want to know is that normal? Or I have to make some settings in the kronos? Thanks
Re: Output 1&2 sound quality not as good as headphone
Is the Apogee Duet 3's input being overloaded, by any chance? Outputs 1 and 2, and 3 and 4 also, are at full line level, and are not affected by the Kronos' Main Volume control.
Another thing to consider is that outputs 1 to 4 do not normally carry the same sound and effects mix as the Line Outs R and L/Mono, or indeed any sound, unless specifically routed there. The Line Outs R and L/Mono carry the same audio as the headphone output does.
How do the line outputs R and L/Mono sound through the Duet 3, when the Kronos main volume is fully clockwise? Maxing out the Main Volume control should give a similar signal level to the other four outputs.
