KP1 Problem

Post by sid viscosity »

Hello korgforums dot com.

I just inherited a KP1 from the bottom of a friend's cupboard. Unfortunately, it seems to be completely broken. When connected to the power supply, it doesn't power up at all--same with inputs and outputs connected.

Is this a common problem with a common fix or would I be better to give up the ghost with it?

I've never used one of these before (a band mate of mine always dealt with ours in the past) so I may be doing something stupidly obviously wrong...

Thank you.

probably an easy fix...if you open it, you will likely find something burnt out on the board

Or you could open it up, disconnect all the obvious connections (cables, plugs, etc.) and re-connect them to make sure that everything is seated properly.
