...I've been using a boom arm stand with a Shure mic. for many years..
Interested in buying/trying a dynamic head band type mic. that will plug straight into the mic. input of my PA900.....a good quality would be preferred - not a £12.99 cheapo ....
Any suggestions - most welcome...

Re: DYNAMIC headband type mic......?
Unfortunately, there are not a lot of good dynamics available. I did some research a while back and the Shure WH20 was mentioned. I tried it and it was ok but the sound was not as good as say a Shure SM58. The best headset mic is the Crown CM311, but it is a condenser and it is expensive ($400+).advid wrote:...I've been using a boom arm stand with a Shure mic. for many years..

...thanks for your reply....
I was looking at that Shure mic. earlier...seems to be OK....
Are you sure it will plug straight into the mic. input on the PA900 without any problems ? No bad earth / hums or too much background noise ?
Is the out put similar to a Shure M56 ?

I'm not familiar with the M56 so I can't say. The WH20 comes in three versions-XLR, 4 pin and 1/4 inch right angle plug. The only thing with a right angle plug is if there is enough clearance. I had the XLR version-easy enough to use a XLR to 1/4 cable then you don't need an adapter. I had no hum problem and plenty of volume with it using a PA900. I was just fooling around at home though, I didn't use it on jobs. More Info:advid wrote:...thanks for your reply....
